This review took 2 years to write for the reasons I will write. After a long term marriage it sadly fell apart. I was very lost as I had never experienced divorce before. I took some time googling divorce attorneys and meeting them. I then met with Elisabeth Barnes. I could feel a immediate connection that she was an attorney that cared for her clients. She had the patience I was looking for and allowed me through all my sadness, anger and uncertainty to feel I would get through the process with her expertise unbroken.
The divorce took many months and in the end I was able to feel whole once again.
I highly recommend Elisabeth especially if your a woman not to exclude any men. She is professional, caring, patient, and will work for you.

I really liked her when I met her. Seemed personable. She was handling multiple things for me and failed at all of them and doesn't respond. For my divorce, she was supposed to incude my exes IRS debt was his. She said she did, but she didn't. Dealing with that now. For a lawsuit against a photographer who took over 6k from us with no results she was supposed to handle but ultimately didn't. After a couple years with little communication (ignoring emails) she sent a letter with $450 stating she changed direction. She cost us a lot of money. The same letter indicated she would complete our trademark but she never did. We paid her and it is now inactive. She didn't refund our money. She won't respond to our current lawyer. My husband recalls a statement she made about how she will make sure to complete tasks because she wouldn't want us to sue her like we were the photographer. That was a red flag for him and his instinct was spot on. She cost us a lot of money by what she charged and never followed through on. Very dissapointed. Seemed to care and then just ignored us after failing at many things. As far as changing direction, her website still says trademarks and everything we hired her for but kept most of our money and never followed through. I put the $450 check aside to discuss with her and misplaced it. Reached about that as well with no response. She has succesfully kept all of our money and cost us more.

Elizabeth is down to earth and knowledgeable about family law. She also has a great social understanding of the attorneys, judges and magistrates working in her field of law.

Elizabeth is unlike any attorney you will probably meet. Her true interest is helping people! It doesn't matter if it is a simple will or a dispute resolution. I would recommend her to anyone needed legal assistance or direction.
