If you want to hire a lawyer that will charge you a lot of money and do the absolute bare minimum... these are your guys! I paid them over $3500 for my ex husband's attorney to do all the work! They are very unprofessional and take forever to return your phone calls. If you become upset with them over something, they threaten to fire you as their client. This law firm is a disgrace! Trust me, run the other way and find a better law firm to represent you!

They deserve negative stars! Do not trust that they have your best interest in mind, its all about getting more money from you. I retained Steven Cozzi to represent me with dueling injunctions regarding domestic violence. The day of the hearing, Cozzi advised me to modify my custody agreement and give my child over to our abuser so that the injunctions would be dropped. When I insisted we go in front of the judge, Cozzi advised me again to drop my injunction, which prevented me from presenting evidence of the abuse. A senior partner of Themis, Jim Runyon (who arrived 20 minutes late and was supposed to handle pre-negotiations) told Cozzi immediately after that it was a mistake to drop it. Cozzi was unprepared to defend me against the opposing injunction and failed to bring vital information to the hearing. Cozzi then disregarded my request to not negotiate for shared custody in front of the magistrate. After the hearing Cozzi again said that is was his fault for improperly advising me about dropping the injunction. When I asked what the next step was, his response was that I had to pay him more money before he would do anything else. When I attempted to contact the managing partner Anastasia Jaster and Cozzi to discuss this, it took 7 days to get them on the phone. Jaster then blamed me for taking the advise of council, she was extremely disrespectful, rude and unprofessional, she refused to offer any concessions to making this right. The conversation ended with her offering me a referral to another attorney that is more suitable in handling abuse victims. I would never recommend anyone use this firm.
