I have had to hire a few lawyers in my time, but not one has been a pleasure to work with like Jodi Leisure. In the past, I would have to reach out to the attorney to see where things stood,not with Jodi. She was on top of the case from day one and was keeping me in the loop along the way. As managers/owners we are held accountable for our employees conduct. Good or Bad. If it's good we give accolades , bad we reprimand or in a worst case scenario, dismissal. But whichever the case we must make it right with the consumer. In this case this firm did not. Nor do they care. I am still dealing with matters in a divorce that my lawyer at the time John Arthur Smitten an employee of Carey and Lesiure, well former employee of the firm. Google his name and you will see why I say former employee. 2 years later I am still spending money trying to fix everything he did. I reached out to Carey and Lesiure and was told to call the office and set up a meeting, because they were not sure what I was asking of them. I replied to them stating what I was asking of them and it would be difficult to meet with them as I was at many times during the week was the only management on duty. That was 3 weeks ago, still no response. All I asked was for them to help me financially with what their employee at the time John Smitten did not do during my divorce in 2015. Yes, 2 years later all the things he said he took care of have come to a head. Thousands of dollars later with no accountability on their part. So please, for your own piece of mind find another firm. A firm that will hold themselves and their employees accountable the actions.

I fell and broke my hip on rental property that did not have railings on their steps. I called this law firm and started the law suit.

The first person I talked with was the lawyer, Melisa, to get started, this process took about 2 month, I would rate it a C. During this hole process I only talked to her 2 times.

The next step was handled by their legal aids, where they had to gather the paper work from the hospital, doctors and rehab., this process took a long time, about 9-10 month, I would rate it a D.

The next step was negation with the property holder insurance co., this was handled by Stephanie, she was the best person to deal with, she would call me every week and give me a status of the progress. This process took about 2 month, I would rate it a A.

The final step was disbursement, this was handled by Alison. This process took about 3 month, I would rate it a B.

The process from start to finish took about a year and a half. I would give this law firm a final rating of a solid B. Stephanie shined above everyone that I dealt with. This was my first (and I hope my last) law suit. I did not know that my insurance co. would get about 1/3 of the settlement. I only got about 1/3 of the settlement, but that is better then nothing !!!

Katherine Neal is an excellent attorney. Not only is she smart, but she answers all your questions immediately and she is very kind and compassionate. She's also board certified, which in simple terms means she has the skills to fight cases in court when the insurance companies try to settle for the least possible, even if it means you ( the victim) aren't taken care of. In my case, I had another firm, they weren't very good. I fired them and hired her. Soon after, the insurance company who wanted me to settlement for an amount that would not even cover my medical bills, sent the full amount- no more haggling!
