I have seen Jim Dodson make several presentations to bike clubs, referred friends to him and talked him with several times at length. Dodson would definitely be the guy that I would go to if I had a bike legal problem. His litigation background as an Assistant United States Attorney, his experience in bike issues, and his unflappable and understated way of dealing competently with high emotion problems make that an easy choice.

Before meeting with Jim, I felt overwhelmed thinking about everything I would have to deal with following a rear-end collision that put my trunk into my backseat, my car into the scrapyard, and me into the hospital. After meeting with Jim, I had no such anxiety. Jim and his office handled everything regarding both my case, as well as the administrative details of my medical care following the accident, which left me free to worry only about getting myself back to normal. He even called me personally several times just to ask me how my recovery was going.

I’ve had a USAA auto insurance policy since I was 16, but I had never heard or was offered uninsured motorist coverage. Last year, I read Jim’s book, “Uninsured Motorist Insurance – Don’t Leave Home Without It!” and quickly purchased the coverage because I read how UM protects me if I am involved in an accident with an uninsured or hit-and-run driver. Well, on April 23, 2014, it happened. I was making my normal drive home from work, when a driver ran a stop sign and t-boned me. I was knocked unconscious from the impact of the crash and upon coming to, I realized my arm hurt badly and the car (I had just paid off the week before) was totaled.

As I was talking to the paramedics, the driver, who hit me, left the accident scene, never to be found again. If I had not read Jim’s book and purchased UM, I would have had to pay for thousands of dollars in emergency medical bills out of pocket even though the accident was not my fault. Now, I tell everyone I can to get Jim’s book and be sure they have UM coverage on their policy. If it happened to me, it could happen to you. By the way, I have a lot of opportunity to tell people about UM coverage because I am the Client Relations & Community Outreach Director at Jim Dodson Law! I am so blessed to work for Jim, and I’m thankful his book educated an everyday person like me on the importance of UM coverage!

After seeing Mr. Dodson's video's about pedestrian safety, I contacted his office for advice about my son's moving violation ticket that involved a crosswalk. He was able to point me in a direction of another attorney who dealt with the kind of ticket my son received. That direction was very valuable and it was generously offered with the utmost desire to simply help. His office assistant, Kati, went out of her way to listen, research, and get back to me in a timely manner. We have bookmarked their number and he will be the first attorney we call if we find we need a personal injury lawyer.

Around 2009 or so I came across an offer of a free auto accident kit. What an eye opener. I am a careful driver but over my half century of driving I have been hit three times and it always cost me money. This is very irritating when it is the other person's fault! In addition I am a regular reader of the newsletter which is uplifting, informative and instructive. What could be smarter? I love the contests and their books.
