Unprofessional, immoral and unethical. He should not be practicing. Do not use him. You will regret it.

I love seeing Dr. Boltson. I have seen him for the past 7 months. He is very funny, very personable and he gives me unique perspective on myself. He is a different kind of psychologist in a good kind of way. He makes his points to me in ways that are striking, or interesting and helps me to reevaluate my thoughts in useful way. He is kind compassionate, interactive and caring. I remember the points he makes to me and helps me to have a better week. I highly recommend Dr. Boltson as a thought provoking, success coach, and outstanding psychologist!

Dr Boltson is a nice enough person, but did not seem to value me as a patient or my time. On the 2nd visit, he started of my session by saying " I have a tennis match after work this evening and I have a new patient after you.... do you mind if I microwave some food ?'. Not only did he microwave some food, he ate it during the session and shorted my session for the time he was cooking his food. He talked about himself, his hobbies and experiences and did not delve in depth into anything pertaining to me. When I emailed him later that evening to tell him the reasons I was not returning as a patient, he found a way to spin the situation into being partly my fault for not being assertive enough with him when asked if he could microwave his food. If you are serious about getting Psychological help, I strongly suggest finding someone else.

I have been seeing Dr. Boltson for a few months now, and in those few months I already feel like I am making consistent progression. After a long time of not feeling like I really have a clear direction, I now feel like I have a perfectly laid out path that I am progressing through. Dr. Boltson is very easy to talk to and gives great feedback, usually with a bit of humor thrown in when appropriate. I've had experience with therapists in the past that will just sit there and nod their head while listening to you speak, and I can tell you Dr. Boltson is not one of them. He will digest what you lay out for him, assess it, and then give his feedback at the appropriate time, which is almost always spot on. There is always very good dialogue during my sessions with him with a nice balance of me speaking and him giving feedback. I spent longer than most people normally would researching to find the perfect therapist for me. I'm so glad that I was so finicky about who to choose, because now I'm seeing how much that has paid off. I would highly recommend Dr. Boltson to anybody seeking a psychologist.

I am very satisfied with my level of service. Dr. Boltson has gone above and beyond in helping create a safe, comfortable and trusting environment. He was easy to communicate with and calls regularly to follow up. I was able to get an appointment with him quickly and easily. He treats you like family, rather than just a patient. I highly recommend him!

The worst human experience I’ve ever had. He shares his office with an ear doctor and his furniture looks like it came from a garage sale. He was not receptive to anything I tell him and I’ve had multiple visits with him. I do not think he should be in this field of work.

Dr. B is a warm a caring professional who Helps you to reach deep into your own problems then lends support and motivation to correct perceived flaws. He helps to identify the source of the problem and determine the best way out of the MUD without having to determine the source of the STORM by going back to Noah and the Great Flood! I highly recommend him as a non-threatening and compassionate therapist.

I always look forward to my meetings with Dr. Boltson; having gone through multiple psychologists over the years, I find he is the most understanding and truly helpful person I have had the pleasure of visiting with.

I cannot count on my hands the amount of times I have walked into Dr. Boltson's office in a bad place mentally, and I always walk out in a much better place. Overall, I continue to be in a better place and I truly believe that my visits with Dr. Boltson have played a large part in increasing my quality of life.

10/10 would recommend

Dr B is a great psychologist and people looking should certainly check him out. He helped me through some stressful time by listening and finding time for me. He helped put things in perspective by sharing his own personal anecdotes and which really helped me see things in a new and useful light. Very friendly which helped me feel comfortable talking with him. Additionally, at least for me, he helped by giving me some hobbies to try like brewing coffee, collecting, and looking for great sushi restaurants. Not at all stuffy and very much down to earth.

I've been seeing Dr. Bolston for 4 months. I knew after the first visit I would be back. He has a very welcoming vibe and immediately put me at ease. We both were responsive to a mutually casual yet professional relationship as counselor and patient. He allows me to lead the conversation, listening intently, before giving his advice or direction. I look forward to our visits and will continue moving forward. Thank you for all your care, Dr. Bolston!!

Over the years I have seen several therapists. I began seeing Dr. Boltson earlier this year. He is by far the most personable, compassionate psychologist with a true understanding of our inner deepest emotions. He is able to connect and interact with me through humor and knows when to be serious and direct to issues I may not yet be open to discuss. He allows you to just be you and he does it in a very pleasant comforting manner. I highly recommend Dr Boltson to anyone who is searching for a knowledgeable, experienced well rounded therapists. PP

Dr. Boltson has been extremely helpful with family counseling. His guidance has been a saving grace. Dr. Boltson has a unique ability to relate to both young and old. He was able to bring us all together in a useful way where change began to happen that we never thought was possible. He was very compassionate, personable and humorous which was very helpful as well. I highly recommend Dr. Boltson as a warm, caring and highly skilled professional to anyone seeking an excellent psychologist.

I have seen many psychologists over the years but I have to tell you that Dr. David Boltson is probably the best. He has an incredibly fluid mind, can truly see through your BS immediately, and often draws upon humor and personal anecdotes to prove his point in a compelling way. Certainly, if you consider yourself intelligent, a fast thinker, and a student of metaphor and humor, Dr. David Boltson is for you. And, even if you don’t, Dr. Boltson can find common ground with the best of them and truly serve to help you with great compassion and empathy.

Was given information for this psychologist from our insurance company. We tired calling many other psychologists in our area but he was the only one who got back to us quickly. Texted me to send my insurance information and come in that day, if I wasn’t able to do that appointment to send my information anyway. Wish I went with my gut and did not bring my child to see him. Bragged about how he’s worked with kids for many years. He did not perform an evaluation like we had asked and just gave us a letter which the insurance company will not accept as a proper diagnoses. When called, emailed and texted him over 2 days following the appointment without any response. I finally got a hold of him to inquire about getting a report for the insurance company. He answered the phone saying he was with a patient, He said he didn’t do no 2000 dollar assessment and the letter was what I needed, wanted me to email him with what I required of him, even though he said he probably couldn’t even do it, then said again he was with a patient and hung the phone up on me while i was in mid sentence. EXTREMELY RUDE, unprofessional and deserves to have his license taken away.

I reached out via email to find out if he took our insurance. He was VERY quick to reply and pushed for my phone number. He started calling me while I was at work, even after I asked to communicate through email. He called me several times and left several voicemails.

I finally told my wife that he was being too pushy and I felt like I was dealing with a used car dealer and made her take over. He commented to her that I was difficult to communicate with.

We went to him once as a family to work on our blended family. He spoke more than he listened, laughed at me when I said I was Bipolar.

He tried to drive home the fact that he is really good at what he does, he spoke at great length about all the different people that he has worked with. Talked about a biker that he had treated and how he dealt with that experience.

All the while, my family and I sat there politely nodding. My daughter zoned out completely and started looking at the chaos of kitsch on the walls and shelves. I zoned out and started looking at the tattered chairs.

I don't feel that we even spoke about the family dynamic that was having issues, just listened to him speak about how great of a psychologist he is.

It was not confidence inspiring that he'd be the one to help us. He pushed us into setting up another appointment, I set a time and date with no real intention of going. The appointment came and went and he didn't even follow up again, I think he got that we were all over it.

Maybe it was just a bad experience, this did happen over 2 years ago but I've been thinking about how poor of an experience it was recently.

I thought it was strange when I called it says he will schedule first time appointments within 48 hours of the call, typically GOOD psychologists who have been practicing a long time are booked or heavily scheduled. I ignored that and met with him only twice before realizing he’s a scam. He told me I didn’t need to fill out any paper work the first time which is also odd and then had me pay him in cash at his desk each time despite having a receptionist. I’m not sure why he has one because he collected payment each time at his desk (shady) and then he would call me from his cell phone to confirm appointments so I’m confused as to why he has a receptionist at all. I have now come to the conclusion that this guy bills the insurance for the session and then pockets the cash that is given to him in person by the patient. I was seeing him for anxiety issues and asked how to cope and was told “off the record” that I could purchase CBD gummy bears from him which is “like pot” but he is “not sure how legal this stuff is” and that was why it was “off record”. Another red flag. Then on my other appointment which was my last he told me if I bring my boyfriend in he could tell me within 20 minutes of meeting him if we were meant to be or not and that he wrote a book all about “finding the one” which I should also purchase. I’m thinking what a phoney why is this guy constantly promoting himself or selling me stuff during our sessions?! I finally cut the cord when I gave him 24 hour notice that I had to reschedule my next appointment due to car problems which he then decided to tell me that I still owe him for that session and could not reschedule another appointment until I paid for that and what time and date can I drop off the money. Desperate for money! Apparently you need to give this guy 48 hour notice which he will never tell you. He also tried to charge me $25 for calling him in between the two sessions which we spoke for a mere 12 minutes, didn’t mention the cost until the end of the next session and said I owe him $25 for that 12 minute call when an actual therapy session costs me $35 which of course caught me off guard. I expected to be charged but if I had known it was $25 for just 12 mins I would have just scheduled an emergency session for $10 more and get 45 minutes in person. He can have fun chasing after my insurance for that $55 cuz this man is a scam. Never will go through a private psychologist ever again because of this experience; he makes up his own rules as he goes to get money and is desperate as hell! 48 hour notice my ass!! I wish i didn’t ignore all the red flags and thank god I only saw him twice. I never write reviews but I generally feel like I need to warn people about this man. STAY AWAY!!! SCAM!!!

I really feel great about my visits with Dr. Boltson. He is very emphatic and motivating.
I was going through a very difficult divorce. He helped me personally, and also helped me navigate legal issues. He gave me the confidence to become more independent and not be influenced by negative people in my life. He is funny, very bright, interactive, and very helpful.

AVOID THIS GUY. I came in to see Dr. Boltson for couples' therapy regarding a very specific issue that needed to be addressed right away. Dr. Boltson had ready availability, and now I see why. "Doctor Happy", as he calls himself, was very quick to disregard our reason for coming in to see him in favor of focusing on his own agenda which necessitated numerous future visits. I'm sure his $200+ insurance-adjusted fee per 45 minutes figured prominently into his actions. You don't even get to see this guy for a full hour, which doesn't allow for adequate time to develop any meaningful discussion - especially considering that this guy did more talking than listening. Through all of his talking he managed to do a lot of damage on my home-front in two short visits. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
