STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAWFIRM.

I am a Google Certified Guide for Bellevue and in 28 years on the internet I have never left a bad review even on a restaurant that made me sick for a week, but this is out of control.

I hired this firm for several matters for multiple issues and I found them to be very disorganized, and very unprofessional. I would have to repeat instructions several times because there is no cross communication.

I had to actually help their staff once do simple drafts to the IRS and the communication was horrible.

I had to re-do an LOI agreement Brandon drafted for a domain matter with another firm, and I would have to send several emails repeating instructions because none of them communicate effectively with each other.

For instance, my accountant had all of my info and they could not get any paperwork from her at all.

My new attorney nailed it with a harsh demand and had the files showing up the next day.

The worst work ethic I have ever seen. They manage by fire.

My IT guy sent them files of emails in a ZIP and they had no idea how to open them he had to call the office and explain.

They could never get things organized and the final straw was when the IRS returned forms to me that they had not filled out correctly and this is the firm that is helping me with my IRS issue?

Last week another IRS error/letter was returned. My new IRS attorney is appalled.

THESE ATTORNEYS DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!

I sent them an email addressing all of these concerns and they get spooked and decide to FIRE ME.

Nightmare not over! Let me give you ONE example that happened today.

My building is a 1940's building and the corporate mail box is downstairs by the front door and people sometimes coming in the building will steal the mail so I told them several months ago to NOT send mail to my address at the office and I have a response in writing from Mark on February 9th of this year getting my home address.

They send me a letter to my office address and its lost.

After all of these mistakes, I sent the firm a letter certified demanding that they refund my full retainer. In the letter I told them I felt it was my obligation to notify the public because I suspect there are others that have had the same experiences with their firm, and that's what I have done.

They doubled down and what I can tell from a crumpled letter someone sent me a picture of (the address I told them not to send too) they are threatening that if I leave a review or talk to the press, they "will be free to discuss openly my your legal issues" and I will by doing so "revoke my attorney client privilege".

This is a free country, and I cannot let them get away with this.

The stories detailing my experiences with this firm will come out in The Bellevue Chronicle and Seattle Metro in September with statements from other attorneys, etc, and I will update this review with links when the stories break.

I am also in the process of filing bar complaints against both attorneys and will post these complaint links when they get online.

Best to take your money elsewhere, not worth the headache.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to Courtney Bhatt for her recent work on a complex special education issue in a rural school district in the greater Seattle area. Our gentle, autistic child was in a miserable kindergarten situation in which she was repeatedly intimidated, humiliated and punished for autistic behaviors (including an inability to express herself verbally) by untrained staff assistants and a classroom teacher who inexplicably refused to fully incorporate the advice of autism experts. All polite attempts we made to address these issues ourselves failed. Add to this scenario a principal with a history of secretive behavior and a district special education director who routinely bullies and intimidates staff, students and parents. It was an absolute mess and our young child suffered greatly—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Moreover, the district placed our child and her disabled peers in a moldy classroom which sickened our child (as well as other children and staff) and then steadfastly refused to address the issue in a timely or thorough manner.

The good news is that all this changed when Courtney entered the equation. Courtney has polite, soft-spoken mannerisms but is firm and very authoritative. She sorted through the multiple violations of special education law and obtained a formal mold testing. This testing confirmed the existence of black mold and above average levels of several other types of mold in a few classrooms, including our daughter’s. Courtney skillfully navigated the unprofessional and unethical behaviors of two district administrators and certain school staff. She quickly negotiated a new school placement for our daughter with a compassionate teacher who understands autism. Additionally, Courtney was instrumental in crafting a new IEP with goals and accommodations which made sense for our daughter.

Moreover, Courtney always actively listened to our many concerns regarding the matter. She always made time for us. Courtney is clearly a brilliant attorney who knows the law. Her responses to emails and phone calls were lightning-fast and she treated us with the utmost respect and regard.

Thanks to Courtney's intervention, our daughter's natural joy has returned and she finished her school year in an autism-friendly school with clean air! Our child is looking forward to returning to that same school in the fall. Courtney's work was so much more than just "legal help." Her advocacy on our daughter's behalf had a profound impact on a disabled child's QUALITY OF LIFE. We do not say this lightly. Special education lawyers advocate for so much more than just a good school setting or a decent IEP, they are advocating for the quality of life of some of the most vulnerable, innocent children in society who cannot speak for themselves.

Special thanks to Dennis Kasimov at MDK Law for solving a dangerous situation regarding rotting trees that were a threat to my property and family. We had experienced 3 separate events of poplar trees located on an adjacent neighbor’s property that had fallen on my and my next door neighbor’s property causing significant damage. The remaining trees were a constant worry every time the wind kicked up. The property owner refused to remove the four dangerous trees that remained and simply stated that it was not his responsibility. I offered with my other neighbor to split the cost of removal three ways, but no deal.
