Then going through a match meeting and meeting such a deserving couple that I instantly loved, and having a case manager that was with me from start to finish and beyond has made both of my journeys exceed my very high expectations. I was supported, and valued always. Even nearly 2 years after my last surro babe was born I still feel very special to not only my intended parents, but also to NW Surrogacy Center.

I was very happy with my experience as a surrogate with NWSC. Angel Sauls matched me up with the perfect family. I had a baby boy in April 2018 and I still get invitations and updates and emails from them. My questions and emails were answered in a timely manner and I never felt like I was alone in the process. I am writing a review for the Portland-based location even though we live elsewhere because many of our interactions and meeting were with the team in Portland in addition to new office locations.

Be careful here! My husband and I were planning to work with Northwest Surrogacy based on word-of-mouth and physician referral. Once we were ready to sign the contract, they changed our requirements and fees, not based on their policies, but based on "what they would do in our situation." When we communicated that the changes were confusing, and ask that they recognize this fact, they refused to work with us or even communicate with us. We experienced a lack of transparency followed by utter disrespect.

Please understand they sent us a contract and said, we would love to work with you. Then three hours later would not take our call or offer any detail or reasonable explanation. They mentioned we would be better off with a different agency (which we agree with!) but would not explain why. Without this clarity, I warn you, the same thing could happen to you. There was a gap in what they explained as their policies and how they actually made decisions.

Northwest Surrogacy cut us without any notice or recourse, regardless of the vulnerability we found ourselves in. I have been informed by others that our recent experience with them is not like how this agency used to operate in the past before their rapid geographic expansion and investments in different markets.

I highly recommend going into conversations here with a back-up plan. My friends in the field have called their behavior "unethical" and "inhumane."

Please do not be dependent on them and make yourselves vulnerable to their whims. Their kindly initial approach belied how they work and make decisions internally.

On the whole we were very happy with NWSC. From our initial contact till we had our son was almost exactly 2 years. The process is long and complicated but NWSC did a great job helping us navigate the process. I highly recommend them. Were there difficulties and mistakes in the process? Of course there were. But they handled them well and I always had comfort that they would help us deal with whatever came up. If you are shopping for the services they provide just stop; you have found the right company.
