Through a tough and complicated estate closure involving a business with thousands of customers, high back taxes, multiple checking accounts and subpoenas and bankruptcy, we are eternally grateful to have worked with Ben Shafton, who guided us all the way. He was always available by email and phone with excellent advice while following up with quick action and fair pricing. My family highly recommends this law firm.

After I got rear-ended, I needed a lawyer. I hired Tom Hojem, at Caron, Colven, Robison, and Shafton. Tom was a great lawyer. I worked with Tom for about a year as he prepared me to go to court. He was professional and knowledgeable about the process. When I had questions he always responded promptly and eased my worries. He helped prepare me for court as well as others who were testifying in my favor and made the event comfortable for us in an anxiety producing environment. Most importantly, Tom was successful winning my case which has brought a sense of relief that all my doctors bills would be paid and I'd have extra to pay future medical bills when necessary. Thanks Tom Hojem!

The office and my attorney Tom Hojem has exceeded my expectations. I’ve had a few lawyers before landing with this team and this is definetly the best experience I’ve had with lawyers. They have been very helpful, super nice and took me through every step to make sure I understood everything. Definetly got lucky to have met Mr. Hojem and his team! I highly Recommend Mr.hojem!!

Stay away from these predators, especially Thomas Hojem! I agreed to have Hojem and this firm represent me on a personal injury matter. Before I agreed, Hojem was very cordial and polite. As soon as I signed their agreement things changed drastically. Hojem calls me and says he isn't going to devote any time to my matter for several weeks while he works on cases that have backed up. Not a major problem for me at the time, but it should have been. Two weeks after the time he said he would be finished and ready to start working with me I still hadn't heard from him at all. So, I called him and left a message. When he returns my call he barks at me to stop "freaking out", and warns me that I shouldn't expect him to return calls ever on the same day, and sometimes within 24hr.s. Then he tells me that I don't need to be on top of where the case is in the process because that is his job. He says he has decided not to entertain negotiating with the insurance company, but that he is just going to file suit and take it to court. He adds that after reviewing the matter, he believes that the amount he will sue for is much higher than we had originally discussed - seven figures. He tells me that I need to think about other things while he prepares to file and that he will tell me what I need to know, when I need to know it, and to prepare for at least a year long wait to go to trial. Keep in mind that I had met him once, spoke to him by phone once, and left one message weeks after weeks after he said he would devote time to my case. It hets worse. A while later I started getting calls from his office that sounded urgent. When I returned the calls I was told that they didn't have a signed agreement from me and that Hojem wouldn't be working on my case until I delivered one to their office. I lived about 95 miles away, but I jumped in the car and brought one up immediately. Next I got another call from his office and from him telling me he doesn't have the copies of my medical records and other case related data that I had provided. The idea that huge volumes of my most personal information had been misplaced was alarming, but then I realized that this meant he hadn't even cracked the file open after such a long time. Again, I provided copies of everything I had already given, and I asked to have a brief conversation with Hojem to make sure of where we stood. It would have been my 4th or 5th call ever with him. Again he barked at me to stop "obsessing" about my injuries and let him do his job. To make this nightmare brief, a couple of months later he leaves a message telling me he filed suite against the company without even letting me see the filing first, He gave me a vague date a couple of month in the future to expect we would get a court date, and still won't talk to me about how he had now obviously decided to approach the case. When I received an email about the case a few months after that I called his office and actually got him on the phone. That is when he informed me that he didn't think my case was winnable or even settleable and that he had withdrawn from representing me. I began to ask him where the suit was now in terms of timing and case scheduling but he hung up on me and never returned another call. Ever. By this time I had moved to Tennessee, and I was forced to get on a plane and fly out to Washington to pick up my files. When I did, he wasn't in the office , but I asked his paralegal what was going on and if the other side had even answered our complaint. She told me they had not. I thought I had better make sure, so I went to the courthouse and checked with the court clerk. Sure enough, they had answered, there was a firm trial date, and the case had been moving along with it appearing that I was unresponsive. I almost got sanctioned by the court. He hadn't told me anything and he hadn't sent me any notices. So very unprofessional. I scrambled to try and get a new attorney. I ended up having to represent myself. He billed me $363. Snake.

one I have the worst attorneys you could ever find in Washington, very unattentive, will claim he used to be a prosecutor, the fact is he is very little experience with Washington Labor & Industries and will collude if he thinks you are not deserving, this guy speaks with a forked tongue so be careful

If you're shopping for a good personal injury lawyer, keep scrolling. These folks can't be bothered with even returning calls.

Bill Robison left no stone unturned while investigating our case. He is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. That combined with his passion and integrity make him a top notch attorney. Ben Shafton was also a big help and to which I owe a huge thank you. The office assistant, Tammy, was a true gem in answering all of my questions and always kept me informed. I can honestly say I would not have made it through this process without their team. To all of them I am eternally grateful. Trina Cortese

I work for a company who had done some work with a lady on her home who sadly passed away so we were never paid for our services. We received a letter in November 2016 stating that Ben Shafton would be handling her estate and to send him the billing and paperwork so the estate would pay us. We sent in the paperwork twice (November and December) and then in March of 2017 we receive another letter from his office saying we never sent in the paperwork and were going to decline to pay us. I have been calling Ben Shafton since January 2017 to follow up on this situation. I have left him at least 6 voicemail's and not one has he ever returned. Every time I call, the ladies at the desk aren't helpful either. They ask me if I want to leave him a voicemail or have them take a message and when I tell them I have left 6 voicemail's and messages and he still doesn't return my call, they ask me "Well, what do you want me to do?" Very unprofessional and rude.

I was unlucky enough to be injured in a four-car chain accident a little over three years ago. Since I was the lead vehicle and did not strike anyone in front of me, no one tried to blame me or the driver of the vehicle immediately behind me, but the other drivers and their insurance companies were adamant that each of their clients was not at fault! I truly believe they were hoping that I would just go away, but surgery and extensive rehabilitation were required to return my shoulder to a semblance of functionality, and no one - including my own insurance company - seemed to care. Angry and frustrated, I finally sought legal assistance. It was my good fortune to meet Bill Robison at Caron, Colven, Robison & Shafton.
Bill is an effective and conscientious attorney, but also an exceptional human being. His preparation and anticipation of strategies and opposing presentations was amazing. His professional representation before a jury was very effective and resulted in a favorable judgement and monetary compensation for the injury. He has a rare ability to get at the truth without being abrasive, but can be very forceful when he needs to make a point. Lastly, his compassion and personal approach to my case was calming and reassuring during a very stressful time.
I don't think I could have asked for better representation or a better outcome than Bill was able to secure for me and my family.

Bill Robison - Excellent strategist - Excellent attorney!

Bill Robison is an excellent and experienced personal injury attorney.I was hospitalized from an auto accident. The insurance company refused to pay anything and I was accused of things I didn't do, by the other driver and witness. My case required a great attorney and talented strategist for the truth of what actually happened in the accident to be revealed. Bills well prepared, methodical questioning in the deposition, combined with how he introduced the evidence, forced the truth to come out. Bill tailored his representation from calm, to appropriate aggressive targeted questions. Impressive balance that brought results! This led to compensation from the insurance company. Hospital bills were also handled in such a way to bring about the best financial stress relief for me .Bill is personable, and has a down to earth quality to his personality, which made a stressful situation easier to deal with .I highly recommend Bill Robison for his well prepared and strategic approach, his calm to appropriate aggressive representation, and personable demeanor with his clients.

I was in a bad car accident in 2012 that left me close to $300,000 in debt with hospital bills. My insurance covered only $20,000 and the drivers insurance wasn't going to cover ANYTHING. Thank God for Bill Robison. He got the hospital to reduce my bill 60%, got the drivers insurance to pay not only my medical bills but he got ME a settlement as well! Before he entered the picture I thought Bankruptcy was my only option. Now I tell anyone in an accident GET A LAWYER & better yet contact Caron, Colvin,Robison & Shafton; the insurance company will never be straight with you.

Through my experience working with Bruce Colven at the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, my knowledge of Ben Shafton's body of work over the years, and my personal experience of having Bill Robison represent me in a trial for damages in an automobile accident, I would say that my knowledge of this firm and its attorneys is pretty extensive. While I would recommend any of the attorneys, my kudos really go to Bill Robison for doing an excellent job for me in court and other negotiations. He was extremely well-prepared, eloquent, and it's obvious he is well-known and respected in the personal injury community of insurance companies and doctors. All of these attorneys are extremely pleasant to work with and I couldn't recommend them more highly

Bill Robison moves faster and is more prepared to do battle in the court room than any attorney I have ever dealt with. I would unequivocally recommend him to anyone needing a fighter in their corner.
