I'm not sure why this lawyer has glowing reviews. I don't like it when I see people portrayed as a hero when money is the real motivation. The first time I contacted him was 3 years ago and he told me I would have a good chance of getting my student loans discharged through bankruptcy. However he would not do it unless I gave him $1600 up front and said he doubted anyone else would either. He did not help me about my student loans and his advice was "just don't pay it". I have a serious situation going on and have contacted everyone from city attorneys and dept of education investigators, the consumer protection bureaus etc. I have an open and shut case, but the one thing I don't have is upfront money and Mr. Fuller would not receive enough from this so it is not worth his while. So while the supposed underdog lawyer goes on fighting huge corporations and claiming to be pro bono, he gets a good settlement from those companies as well as TV publicity. I don't usually go out of my way to write a negative review. I just don't like to see people glorified when they don't really help the underdog. But I suppose my review will be taken down because as a lawyer he can probably get away with it.

I don't know where I would be without Michael Fuller! When an aggressive trust fund wrongfully took all my money (over an old loan) and I felt hopeless without a voice, Michael was there fighting for me! This attorney only does student loans (pro bono) cases, which when I called a week ago was never Stated to me, also I was instructed to call down to the Oregon bankruptcy clinic and fill out an application and speak to attorney and refer Michael fuller which was incorrect and now a whole week wasted playing the waiting game on misinformed Information. Worse experience and terrible customer service.

As a senior disabled in extremely exigent circumstances, tried to reach out to "Underdog" via his website for an email communication; no response.
I see from the other 1-star reviews similar problems, but what interested me most were the snarky dismissive responses from this self-professed underdog to those who left anything other than a fawning review. Any sincere underdog, who was truly concerned about people, would not be such a reprehensible bully to those who cannot defend themselves.
My worthless opinion is that if an attorney cannot or just plain does not want to take someone's case or help them with their particular problems should just politely say so. It's not THAT difficult to be minimally humane.
For those of you who have got money or can bring in some shiny media attention, you might stand a chance of getting this attorney to represent you.
As with all attorneys, it's about fame, power and money. But for those desperately needing help, when you roll the dice with these sharks, you have to keep in mind there's a high probability you are the one that's going to get bit.

I spent almost a year trying to work with my cell phone provider to follow through with their promised promotional offer. After hundreds of phone calls, conflicting information from their agents, and no responses to my written letters I finally contacted Michael Fuller. He was knowledgeable and guided me through the process putting in many hours to make things right. He helped me understand that what they did was illegal and he took on the giant with me. I couldn't cut through the corporate red tape myself so he helped me do that. I would highly recommend using him in situations like this. We won our case and even after the win he was able to find fine print in the company's own documents that allowed for an even larger amount than was initially awarded. I am happy with every aspect of our interactions. It is possible to stand up to a corporation, no matter how large!

After getting sick of dealing with Frontier these guys took over for me and did all the paperwork and got me a bigger settlement than I expected. I had to do a bit more follow up than expected and had to correspond with several people, but Mr. Fuller was also more responsive and available than expected. I would use them again.

New Year’s Day my kitchen stove caught on fire and my family and I were instantly homeless. Leaving in only our pajamas we went to a hotel around midnight. We had lost our home in the blink of eye and with no renter’s insurance things looked pretty bleak. The fire was due to faulty wiring in the hood above the stove. Basically, my landlord was responsible for providing safe appliances throughout the unit, which she failed.
The following day she sent me a series of paperwork that said, she was willing to refund me all the deposits and January rent I had paid. The paperwork was to be signed right away and the money would only be released when I signed. The paperwork indicated that I was to release her from all liability and for me to promise not to make any future claims against her. I could tell it would be a big mistake if I signed those papers. She then began harassing me, threatening legal action against me and tried to evicting me. I was overwhelmed with anxiety and hopelessness all the while paying to stay in a hotel.
I drafted a letter and sent our emails to a list of local attorneys requesting them to see if I had a case against her. The only one who responded was Michael Fuller. He agreed to take my case on a weekend no less. He proceeded to represent me and battled my former landlord. He was able to negotiate a fair settlement for me and I was reimbursed all the monies I paid out and then some.
During this charged climate where it seems no one is treated fairly and people don’t seem to care for one another, Michael came through in grand style. It is my opinion that if someone is being mistreated and another person can help, then they should. Being silent is equally guilty. Initially, contacted Michael out of frustration with my cell phone company and he gave me some solid advice which resulted in a credit to my account. In 2011 I did a chapter 7 bankruptcy (all debts discharged). In 2013 my old mortgage company sold my discharged loan to another (new) company, who then came after me for payments. I had used Olsen Danes before and they were very good. I contacted them and was referred to Michael Fuller. He was terrific from the first meeting until the end of the case! He has great communication (he even gave me his personal cell# to ensure I was in the loop), gave me sound and pertinent advice, he seemed untiring in his fight for my case. In the end he forced the new company to settle with me. Then thanks to his excellent research and diligent work he found we were within the statue of limitations to sue my old mortgage company for selling my discharged loan. Again he was able to force them to settle!! Thanks to Michael it was an incredible victory for me and a large financial monkey lifted off my back! By the way, all of his staff are extremely helpful and prompt in their service. What a huge relief it is for me to know that there is a lawyer out there who is not afraid to take on the "big corporate firms" for the common man like me. Truly devoted to the overall success of the case

After a long and tiresome telephonic harassment ordeal that lead to my civil case I was very fearful and apprehensive to push any topics. Micheal was caring of my personal feelings and experiences, mental welfare and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure I was fully understanding of the steps being taken and what would be gained by them.
