I had a domestic adoption of a stepchild but it was complicated due to her natural father being in a foreign country, not wanting anything to do with her and making himself very difficult to reach.

My first attempts were to the larger law firms and those with large advertisements. I got no responses from them (apparently it sounded like too much work and not an easy adoption case). I decided to email-bomb all the local family law attorneys, and even reached out to those in Dallas and Fort Worth.
