I was a client of Helleck Law – Adam Helleck - for a divorce matter and engaged his services in June 2019. I will summarize the facts:
Helleck Law failed to file documents in a timely matter. After 60 days and following unanswered calls and texts, I was finally able to get Adam on the phone on August 19, 2019. I asked for a status update and Mr. Helleck informed me his contractor filed my divorce paperwork on June, 20, 2019, but when I requested a copy of the filing with a date stamp by the court evidencing the filing, Mr. Helleck admitted his contractor had not filed anything. The lack of communication was shocking. I have two young children and my situation was quite distressed, so the communication issue was glaring and frustrating. Even during my initial consultation (for which I paid $300), Mr. Helleck was on the phone with this wife discussing buying tires. A red flag, but I took his word that he would take care of my divorce expeditiously. I terminated Mr. Helleck’s services on December 12, 2019 due to the numerous issues I had experienced and now, six months later, I am not divorced, and I am having to virtually start over with a new firm. I also had to obtain a loan to cover the retainer costs with the new firm while I waited to receive my remaining retainer. I feel very badly for the people who don’t have the ability to obtain a loan and simply have to endure poor service.
If you are considering the services of Helleck Law, please proceed with caution and perform your due diligence. I wish I would have read Helleck Law’s reviews prior to engaging with the firm. If I had, I would have kept looking. I will not recommend Helleck Law firm as my experience was nothing short of horrific.

This attorney is extremely unprofessional. Did not issue a contract, although this was requested. He was late for meetings and billed as if he was present. He retroactively adjusted bills in order to not pay a retainer balance. He did not respond to emails. He provided extremely poor legal advise! His paralegal was equally unprofessional. My advise is to find a professional attorney.

The worse! He asked for $2,500 up front and did nothing for my family that he promised. He is now refusing to refund my family's money. He should not be trusted. Do yourself a favor and use an attorney that actually takes pride in doing their job and the right thing!
Do not hire this guy. This guy will lie to u an take your money. An will withdrawal from your case after he has your money. He is very disrespectful to his clients in court. He will not have your child's best interest at heart. If you want a attorney to fight for your child in court. Do not waste your time an money.

Failure to effectively communicate with paying clients. My case was never transferred to Harris Co. its still in Jefferson Co. Texas. My account was deactivated without my consent. And to be charged ridiculous charges when the client was emailing all necessary documentation how can an attorney and paralegal help if the client is doing all the work? Filing fees in Harris County are expensive at all, but was charged bogus fees for work that I did!!!!

Our office has never represented Rodney Hudson. This gentlemen made an appointment for consultation and then re-scheduled or no-showed on at least 2 occasions, even after Mr. Helleck agreed to meet him at 7pm on a Saturday. Further, there is not currently nor has there ever been anyone named "Kate" that works for our office. We have contacted Google for an investigation and removal of the false review.

Adam Helleck and his paralegal Meghan are caring and very understanding, they truly want what's best for their clients and work very hard to accomplish the goal. Adam has grit and that's what he uses to get the job done. If you need a lawyer who will stand beside you and do his best by you, Adam is the guy. Meghan goes out her way on a regular basis to provide the best service and care to her clients, and will help you through every part of the process, personable and loyal, you couldn't ask for a better paralegal to be on your side. Thank you for everything.
