The BEST attorney in Houston or that I've ever worked with. Her work ethic is impeccable. She will fight for you, she's honest and will shoot you straight throughout your case. I've worked with many attorneys both personally and professionally, who will take your money and run, not Diane, she actually cares and is a force to be reckoned with in the court room!!

DIane and her assistant Vanessa are the best. I've hired three prior attorneys to help me with my custody case. No one has done what Diane has done for me. If you want positive results, go with Diane Reul. And SHE CARES about what is right for her client and goes the fight.

I waited almost a year to let the emotions settle but hindsight shows hiring Diane was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. Not only will I regret it forever but the financial impact caused by her representation will affect me negatively for the rest of my life. I should have seen so many red flags but your judgment is clouded during the emotional process of a divorce. One of the first things Diane said to me was that men know from an early age that they will get the shaft in a divorce. What I did not realize was it is attorneys like Diane that will ensure that is what is going to happen to you if you hire them. You should take your time and educate yourself about binding mediation and read other people’s divorce decrees before hiring anyone. There is not a judge in mediation and as long as both parties agree on the terms it can be added to the final decree. So I urge you to interview attorneys let them know the terms you would like in your decree and see how they react. I told Diane what I wanted and she literally would yell at me and argue with me and say over & over this is what the judge is going to do sweetie, like I was sitting in a court room not at a mediation. She had zero regard for what I wanted out of the mediation. I sat in a room for almost 12 hours and wasn’t even given a lunch break or anything to eat. At one point, I left and she came out to the parking lot to drag me back into the mediation. Diane seems to have her own set of guidelines that she will not flex or have an open mind too. If you disagree she will turn very ugly and even threaten to quit in the middle of your divorce process. Trust me if you are a man and your ex-wife isn’t a crack head you should not hire Diane. She will hand everything you worked for to your ex-wife and tell you that’s what the judge is going to do. At minimum save yourself $10,000 and just let the judge do it instead of paying Diane to do the judges job. Diane you should stay off Facebook during mediation and focus on representing your client’s best interest. She missed several things that were slid in on my settlement and when I noticed it, she said “well you signed it sweetie.” She refused to look at my proposed changes to the decree much less suggest changes to the other side. She basically just accepted what my ex-wife’s attorney was proposing. Who she was representing in this case is still a mystery to me. Steer clear from Diane she does not represent anyone's interest but her own jumping from one mediation to the next ruining peoples lives! This is a real review from an actual client in 2018 speaking the truth about my experience using Diane in my divorce and I urge you to take this review seriously.
Update: 5/10/19 - I am in another lawsuit with my ex wife due to the sloppy decree Diane signed off on.
Update: 8/13/19 - As I am further away and living with the results from Diane's services. I stress if you are the man in the divorce you need to really get Diane's opinions first as she treats her opinions as law which is not the case in a mediation setting. Hiring her is the biggest regret of my life.

I went to her for mediation. She was on tinder the entire time. She was biased towards the other party even though..she indirectly admitted that I do have a case at the end of the day. It was almost like she was in bed with my ex and her attorney. Obviously, mediation doesnt work when mediator is so biased. We are going to court to file the full case. But find a better mediator, who at least isnt on Tinder while mediating.

After the initial appointment Diane was supposed to call back to provide us with additional information; never heard back from her.

Diane Reul is an extremely experienced family lawyer and mediator and is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Family Law. To be able to get Board Certification, you have to have substantial family law experience, pass a specialization test and stay current with Continuing Legal Education in family law to know the most up to date information. I frequently refer people to see her when they have family law issues, including my own sister. My late sister was diagnosed with leukemia and had a variety of complicated family law issues she needed to deal with given her grave diagnosis. Diane gave my sister and family enormous comfort as she assisted with will and trust documents and custody documents to make sure that my niece's future was protected. During that crisis, a lot of worries couldn't be avoided but having the legal component of things dealt with professionally was a great relief. I'm a lawyer but not a family lawyer, so I just knew enough to know I wanted things done right. I cannot recommend Diane highly enough and am glad to serve as a reference for her.
