That being said she knows her stuff as well and is one of the top paralegals in Houston.

Finally, how could one review Monks Law Firm without acknowledging good old Pat Monks. Pat mainly handles civics cases, but has a way with people, that I recommended entrusting him with your traffic tickets and moving violations and watch the District Attorneys and Judges work with him (with an extremely high success rate) S soon as he starts flashing those dimples. Now, that’s not to say pay isn not sharp as a tack and will go to war for a client when need be.

Overall monks Law Firm is an excellent law for for all sorts of legal needs. I would give them a call if you have any question as to whether or not they will be able to handle your particular case. In all my experience with the Monks Law Firm it has handled any and every issue presented before them with aplomb, a sense of urgency, and the highest level of professionalism one would expect.

Mike monks is amazing! I had my trial today and let me tell you this guy does not play. I had my case in brazoria county with judge warren for AFV and he got it dismissed! This was not my first time in trouble i have sevaral things on my record and i tried the "giving up my right to talk to the DA" but they were offering me 2yrs prob. Community service and some other classes and fines the same old blah blah well i finally decided to hire mike when i got set for trial and that was the best thing i did. I tried to do it myself because i hate lawyers and think they are just out to get your money and dont do squat But mike monks is the guy to go with. Highly HIGHLY recommend him!

Really bad service, not recommended to anyone, NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL, i Had a warrant because they didnt go to court to change it on the day they were supposed to, after that i had a new court date and they were supposed to represent me and of course THEY DIDNT, i paid for a service i never got, this law firm is a complete joke

I’m not happy with their customer service desk. When you call them, they always rush over the phone to hang up on you and looks like they don’t have time to discuss your case.
Another thing they shouldn’t leave a client in dark; giving enough information on procedures and a call a day before the court date and explain what they can do during court proceedings and ....

Recently I was trying to resolve a parking ticket out of Houston and after being told no by numerous law firms out of Houston and San Antonio I was finally connected with the Monks Law Firm. I spoke with Mr Monks personally and advised him of my situation, 3 parking tickets for the same violation. I told him I missed the deadline to dispute online and that i was from San Antonio and would not be able to go in person, he asked when i received the ticket and was aware that the deadline (before late fees) was the next day. He had no hesitation taking my case and said he would go the very next day. He in fact went the next day and was able to get my fees reduced by MORE THAN HALF!! Very respectable person over the phone and never once shamed me for waiting so long to get the issue resolved. Will highly recommend him to anyone i know in Houston that has a traffic issue A+++

UPDATE: Pat Monk saw my review and called me from Germany. He was out of the country for a legal conference and had another firm covering his traffic court cases while he was gone. Linda with his office also called. Both were courteous and professional, more in keeping with my expectations. Pat agreed to refund the $100 for handling the ticket. Five stars for customer service and follow-up. Although my ticket wasn't dismissed, I was ultimately happy with the way this firm handled things and would use them again. Standing behind the service you provide and making things right is rare these days.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Court started at 8:00. At 11:00 I was the only person in the courtroom. My attorney was the last lawyer to show up (9:15 a.m.). My police officer showed up and I was told she would find him and talk to him. At 10:30, still no lawyer. An attorney from another law firm showed up at 11:00, allegedly helping out my attorney. I waited so long, the judge felt bad and reduced the Deferred Disposition from $229 to $180. The lawyer for the other firm was extremely rude when I questioned where they had been and why I was left waiting an hour after everyone else's case had been disposed of. I could have done Deferred Disposition myself when I got the ticket and been 60 days into it. Instead, I paid Monks $100, the attorney was late, barely spoke to me and then was a no show on the follow-up.

What a fantastic experience...It felt like it was going to be a lottery picking an attorney to help with a complex issue that I had - but I feel like I got the winning number when I landed with Pat Monks! He is genuine, communicates well and gets the job done...something that I had tried to deal with myself over the course of a year - he got done in a week... For the record, I have NOT purchase his service (yet, but will in the future). However I did call and asked for a free consultation. I do not expect lawyers to give me free advice on what to do in court and how it works without paying them- even with free consultation. However Pat gave me a call and he sure as hell did convince me that he'd be a good guy to get my service from. I did prior research on my speed citation and how court works as it was my first citation ever. He confirmed my information just as I needed no charge. He values potential customers and to him- everyone is a potential customer in some way or form. Do not be afraid to at least give him a call- you lose out on nothing.

We could not have asked for a better Law Firm to represent us! Very informative and thorough. Mr. Monk helped us to get an appeal dismissed that had no Jurisdiction to have been filed. Open close case due to all the facts he had prepared and submitted before the Judge. He takes his cases serious and goes above and beyond to make sure he represents his clients to the fullest.

Worst law firm I ever used I paid them $1500 for nothing and I haven't even spoke with them and they didn't even obtain a copy of my police report.. They are very rude and didn't represent me in court it was so embarrassing take my advice and never use them in court. I wasted my money and cant get it back to find me someone else that will represent me well in court.i didn't want to give them this one star but I had to in order to give a review.. Paid to get my probation terminated 5 months ago would call every month to find out what was going on and got brushed off saying Mike him self would talk to the judge after multiple visits and phone calls never did just responded with “well this white boy gets busy” so we left it at that got a new lawyer and was done the next day I was off probation. Lawyer said a motion was filed but nothing was done it was just there. Thanks a lot for the help and enjoy the money for nothing !

Edit: Response was incorrect The new lawyer that was hired spoke to the judge and said nothing was ever done till we hired this new lawyer and still paid and nothing was done pure robbery.

The truth is that I never got the experience, and I'm glad I didn't. I called to make an appointment or to talk to an attorney and they never reply to my emails and never called back when I needed them the most. Honestly with this kind of treatment towards costumers, I believe they don't even rate even the slightest tip of a star.

Was hired through cdl consultants to fight a traffic ticket for me the attorney never spoke to me once just a legal assistant after months of not hearing a thing and constant calling and getting told they will call back which they didnt many times wasnt until i started receiving notices my license wasnt renewable for not paying a fine and had a warrant out for my arrest which i was told by the legal assistant i didn't have one finally contacted the court and they said i did have a active warrant paid a 350.00 fine everyrhing went on my license was told by the court the attorney was even given a notice to file an appeal on my behalf and they did not will never use them again and dont recommend them to anyone
