I did a telephone consultation for my green card interview with Ms. Karam. I paid $350.00 for half hour. I had some complications in my immigration case. We agreed that she would look at my documents and then will talk to me later. I sent her my documents, she acknowledged the receipt but never got back to me. I called her assistant to ask if I should pay more so that I can speak with Ms. Karam and I was told that the followup was cost free. Didn't hear from them, and I sent an email again whereby Ms. Karam replied that she was "planning on" getting back to me. Never heard from her again. Found out she used to work for the law group that I hired to assist me in my interview, which is Quan Law.
I had my interview and an attorney from Quan Law assisted me, and I was able to pass it. I don't know why Ms. Karam behaved the way she did. To be honest I am shocked a little and as I recall my experience, I think about my first conversation with her and I try to read between the lines. She was indeed persistent about if I wasn't telling her everything about my case - perhaps she didn't trust me as a client. But who knows...anyways I will highly encourage people to look at QUAN LAW GROUP - they are friendly and super professional.

Nothing is easy in immigration. My case is not easy. And I was ready to leave a country I lived decades. I called and meet few lawyers they scared me even though my only fault is to come here without visas. Besides that I have respected US laws, when I got working, I work and pay my taxes. When the program I was in get discontinued I wanted to go in a country where they welcome good peoples. My first time I meet Mrs Karam her first attitude was to ease my fear, the first question, have you ever committed crime in US or elsewhere. I responded not even in my homeland. Her answer, I quote her" Ill not say it will be easy however I can work in your case and the chance to succeed is higher than average" I just got my working approved today. I wish I met her 10 years ago, I would be us citizen already.

Before 2014, my husband Ramiro spoke to a few lawyers. Each 1 he spoke with responded with his case is a losing battle, without any hope to fix. He actually went to 1 attorney to have a consultation, he said for Ramiro to wait for the immigration laws to change. That consultation was $150 waisted. Soon after he decided to try 1 more time and search through the web where he found Kathryn N. Karam. We told Kathryn about Ramiros case. She had us come in to speak to her directly. She was and still is honest without beating around the bush. Kathryn said,"this case was going to be extensive and expensive and difficult but there was hope for a 50/50 chance. It took 2 yrs. , but she won the case. I highly recommend Kathryn and would hire her again if and when we need her legal expertise. Kathryn and her team were well worth time and cost. I and my family cant thank Kathryn and her team enough for excellent work on winning our case. When others said there was no hope. I called to get an appointment For my immigration case, and after a long questionnaire, (waste of my time)they tell me that there are 3 attorneys mrs Karam that has the most experience but charges $350 for consultation only! And the other 2 one has 3 year experience and charges $250 the other one who has only a year experience $150, I asked if they could give me a price range in my case and they said I have to come and pay the $350 or choose one of the other 2 these people are out of their mind if they think Im going to pay $350 to later find out I have to pay thousands, there are tons of attorneys with even more experience and they don't abuse clients

I approached Kathryn Karam's Law Office in May 2016 with the objective of filing an EB2 NIW application (self petitioned I-140 application to help get a green card). Oil and Gas industry had been going through extremely hard times and I wanted to secure my future, in case I got laid off like so many of my ex-colleagues. We got started and on Dec 21, 2016 my I-140 application was filed. My I-140 application got approved by USCIS on May 30, 2017. During the application preparation, I would do the initial drafts of the recommendation letters and run it by Nadine Chen for review and suggestions. Together we did 6 recommendation letters and got them signed by Industry experts in my field and my professor in engineering school. Nadine prepared an excellent cover letter (19 pages or so if I remember correctly) which goes with these recommendation letters, and other application forms required by USCIS. I must admit that I felt frustrated at times that the application process was taking such a long time. But the final cover letter from Nadine exceeded all my expectations. I could have never written a letter like that all by myself. I was glad I didn't try to do it all myself and I took expert help.
I had a great experience working with Katie and Nadine. They were very responsive to emails, good listeners and very courteous, not to mention they did a great job in my application preparation.

I had a pending employed-based I-485 application which was not approved for more than 17 months. I was not happy with the law firm working with our company and asked Kathryn to continue the case. She is very familiar with the process and is very motivated to finish the case. Whenever I had a reminder in my calendar to check with her about the case, I found she has already contacted USCIS. One more thing that I liked a lot about her was the fact that she responds to emails very quickly. It is really impressive. In short, you can totally trust her. Kathryn - and her staff - were recommended to my wife and I by my wifes colleagues at Chevron in July 2014. We were looking to see what options we would have for a green card application and ultimately decided to go down the route of an EB11 after a nice informal chat about our options. Kathryn and Nadine worked with me closely over the next 5 months to gather all of the evidence I needed and were friendly and prompt in their responses at all times. The shear volume of paperwork and the fine detail of the whole package was impressive to say the least. Their office submitted the documentation in January 2015 - premium processing - and I had approval within 1 week! That approval was down to the efforts of Kathryn, Nadine and the rest of their staff in making sure that the application was water tight and that I was not wasting my time. My EAD was approved in April 2015 and I am happily still working with Kathryn and Nadine while I await the approval of my AOS and Green Card. When I first met Kathryn Karam, it was assisting my employer to get me out of an ICE detention center. At that point, I didn't realize how a mistake I had made 10 years before was going to continue to affect my life. Kathryn Karam and her team assisted me in my naturalization application. My case was not straight forward but Kathryn was very good at clearly outlining a strategy. I dealt with her across several time zones and she even flew out to CA for my interview. She was focused and tenacious - even when first indications weren't in favor of my application, she stuck with it and continued on the outlined path.
