They are the best!!! I tried doing it in my own and I couldn’t get anywhere. So I went to the Makris Law form for help. They have helped me go through this process for 3 years and not one time did I have a problem with anyone at the firm. Very nice attorney that really do their best to help you.

My attorney, Mr. Cooper has been very helpful and informative. My case manager, however, has NOT; little to no communication - had to travel an hour to their office TWICE for a 5 min conversation because she wouldn't return my calls or emails, lost my documents on more than one occasion, didn't tell me she didn't receive my doctors notes-found out the day before my hearing and had to get with my doctors to get them to the lawyer myself, didn't help me with any of my paperwork-literally told me to just put whatever because it didn't matter anyway... I could go on, but why?

I want to personally thank everyone, from my attorney, case worker, the receptionist, everyone who has worked hard to help me win at my ALJ hearing. Mr. Cooper is a fantastic and knowledgeable attorney who was very nice, and knew what he was doing at my hearing. Whether whatever outcome comes from the Social Security Administration, i highly recommend Makris Law Firm to anyone who is hoping to get their much needed benefits.

The staff here is very rude and unhelpful, even if they couldn't they didnt even take the time to see if they could...made me even less hopeful in finding help with SSI

I was very impressed with everything at this law firm. I am a Certified Paralegal and I have seen how many law firms work. I received an appointment for the very next day. I was treated very nicely and the intake worker I spoke to actually took the time to listen and was very sympathetic. Easy to find, great location for those who live in SW Houston. The first person I spoke with on the phone was helpful but a bit abrupt. She discouraged me a bit but I am very glad that I went to my appointment anyway. They started working on my case right away. I am/was impressed with the services rendered not only to me but other clients who were at the office. Staff was going above and beyond to assist everyone. I definitely will refer people to this law firm.

Horrible lawfirm. My sons attorney showed up for his hearing 15 minutes late. He didnt even know anything about my sons case due to the fact that he did absolutely no research on my sons case at all. Not to mention that while this extremely racist judge by the name of Gary suttles was busy belittling my wife and making horribly racist and assumptive statements such as "well you are on housing aren't you?" And "you do receive food stamps dont you?" Which had absolutely nothing to do with determining whether or not my son was disabled, my attorney, whom is supposed to be representing my son, was busy cross examining him by asking my son things like "why did you used to steal things?" Instead of going at this extremely racist appeals judge. I wouldn't recommend anyone who is trying to get their disability approved use this lawfirm. I would rather have bugs bunny represent me before i choose these clowns, because at least bugs bunny would tell the judge something about himself instead of allowing him to bully and racially profile his client. #fakeris not makris law firm

They did great. They have a lot of clients because they are successful. The process is slow but that's because of the SS process not Makris. Michael Makris was great and Victor Makris was very patient with me with matters after they won my case

I can give them credit on having a good commercial but as far as service. I was getting calls and letters when I decided to use them now Social Security sending me a denial letter and something about court they haven't called back and I've called every day for a week now.

They helped me

Somewhat disappointing experience. There is little to no communication. My hearing was in September and I was advised that the judge had 90 days to make a decision. The only time I even spoke with the attorney representing me was late afternoon the day before my hearing. I'm approaching the 90 day mark and have heard nothing from the office. I sent an email to my contact at the office on Monday and it's now Friday, with no response. Based on the experience I've had, I'm fully expecting a denial and gearing up to have to start all over with a new attorney.

Edited to add: Surprisingly, I did receive a favorable decision!!!! I do still believe that communication could be improved, and have, since posting my original review, been informed that it is typical for the attorneys to only speak to the client shortly before the hearing to ensure accuracy in representation and that no details are forgotten or missed. With receiving an explanation of this, it does make sense and I have a better understanding of why it happens this way, but I believe this should be explained more thoroughly to the client beforehand to ease any doubts or anxiety that can occur in this type of situation. It is a stressful and worrisome process to begin with and communication before, during, and after the process is very important, in my opinion. In my particular situation, my information was not properly updated the way it should have been by the case manager and this caused some miscommunication between the social security office and myself, resulting in me missing a scheduled appointment with the social security office and delaying my benefits. Based on the understanding I have now, I believe in the efforts of Michael Makris and the staff in gathering my records (because there were a LOT) and properly representing me and my health issues, but I still believe improvement could definitely be made in areas of communication between case manager and client, and effectively educating clients on the process and how things work so that they're not left in the dark wondering what's happening behind the scenes.

Awesome Attorney Great service

I contacted this law firm from a referral. An email came to me requesting me to call Terrie Lopez about my case. I called this morning and they lost me just from the conversation or should I say questionnaire. Absolutely no personality, compassion, or simple courtesy. If the first person you talk to could care less about you and your case; what does that say about the law firm? Me...I felt like just another paycheck.

The only issue is noone will answer or provide ia update. Noone answers questions about the case. Needing Medicare approved my case was approved why can't I get my card. No one contacted me for over a year and never returned any emails. But they do respond with I recieved every email

I'm frustrated with the service from some of the employees. In the beginning, I should have been informed d of my case manager's name. Secondly, I have never spoken to her, haven't seen her nor answer her phone. I'm at the mercy of leaving a message and editing for the appropriate employee to call back. I had to inform them my claim was denied. I also have asked and stated I need financial because I no longer work and im struggling. Nothing but ooor empathy. Tonight with the of a friend I learned about interim payment assistance. I already have limited resources to be going across town. However I need help. And it's either going to or another firm

When I need to be updated or advised about my case, I have to call them or go to the office. Nobody has ever proactively called me. I don't feel like they're doing anything at all for me other than sitting back and waiting. I could have saved myself the money, time and trouble by simply submitting my own appeals. I'm disappointed and highly regret signing up with such a passive law firm.

I have written proof that from Social Security within 6 days off denial that I was being represented by an attorney. But won't take my case because I didn't apply for an appeal within 60 days. When I had no knowledge until a month later that my lawyer wasn't representing me. Guess they're scared to prove socal security wrong.

I had filed 2 separate cases for SSDI (Bipolar Disorder) when I lived in Washington State and was denied both times, up to the Federal Appeals level. I then moved to Texas, experienced my 4th manic episode, and was urged to file again. I chose the Makris Law Firm and am so glad I did. It took 6 months for me to get approved, and I didn't have to go to a hearing. They made sure it was a smooth process, and didn't charge me a dime when I won. I am eternally grateful to them for their assistance.
