Donnica assisted me in my child custody case and we won! My case was no ordinary feat. It was heavily contested and filled with false accusations and unnecessary hearings brought by my sons father. Our legal system needs a serious overhaul

Donnica is an excellent family attorney. She is knowledgeable, helpful and timely. She listened to my concerns and shared valuable information to address them all. She presented all options and always left the final decision up to me. I will definitely utilize her services if ever needed in the future and highly recommend you do the same!

I wouldn't recommend any other attorney when in need of a family attorney. She is extremely thorough and worked on my case as if I would have worked on it. When we had questions, Donnica provided all the answers we needed in a manner in which we understood. Highly recommended!

When I had my consultation with Ms Blackful, it started out bad. First she was late, which I understand life happens so I wasn’t too worried about it. But then when we met she wouldn’t shake my hand which was odd, and then she told me (not asked me) like a child to spit out my gum because she can’t concentrate when someone has gum in their mouth. This was before we even started conversing. She said we had an hour consultation and after 10-15 min she was rushing me out the door. I decided not to Hire her because first impressions are everything and this was not somebody I wanted to represent myself. I have gone with a more professional and reputable law group in Richmond that is extremely knowledgeable and determined, Duff Drozd Law if anyone is interested.

We used Donnica for my husbands custody case in order for him to see his daughter. Donnica took time specifically for us to see her after hours and always made sure to answer or return our phone calls, even in the evening or the weekends. She took time and showed true care for us and what we were going through. Donnica was also up front and not afraid to be confrontational with the opposing counsel. She kept my husband calm and she made sure to always explain what was happening and would not give up till we were satisfied. Even though we are done with our case, she still answers my phone calls and takes time to help us. We have already referred several people to her and will continue to sing her praises. She cares about fathers rights and is honest about your chances and her rates are completely reasonable.

Donnica is hands down the best attorney I’ve ever had. She has been on my retainer for nearly 5 years through an extremely difficult custody battle. THE ABSOLUTE WORST! She is beyond rude!!! The only thing i Can recommend is for you to RUN! Absolutely disgusted with the service! Did not represent me.

A liar and a thief. Still waiting on her to make good on the multiple enforcements she's claimed to have filed. Didn't show up for hearings (her "Crohn's disease was acting up" and "another client got arrested for non-payment of child support, so I have to defend him"). Didn't answer calls. Didn't answer emails. Didn't answer texts. Oh, but if you were late on your payment, she'd remind you...

But when MY wife was arrested on a bogus "harassment by phone" charge after Donnica YET AGAIN didn't file an enforcement (blaming her law student, legal assistant), Donnica didn't know "criminal law" and made me wait for 2 days to get my wife's purse. Eating lunch with her Mother was more important than meeting up with me to give me my wife's purse after she WATCHED her get arrested (My wife was arrested in family court). Something that could have been prevented, had Donnica Blackful not committed professional misconduct and actually filed enforcements she said she did. I have all kinds of screenshots of her gross negligence and professional misconduct.

My wife spent 6 days in jail, was denied bail on a MISDEMEANOR and lost her job, 'cos every time my wife's ex-husband violated the order, Donnica had excuses. She never took responsibility for anything. Just blamed anything and everyone else for her faults and misgivings, all the while collecting money off us for services NOT rendered. Donnica just stopped responding to messages, calls and texts, when she knew the money dried up.

Some of her other excuses for not filing enforcements:

"The case is cursed."

"My law-student helper screwed it up, but I didn't bother to correct it and refile it."

"Becky is new at the courthouse."

"The courthouse lost my enforcements."

"Harris County schedule a hearing on the same day, after we had yours scheduled, but I can't change their date, only yours."

"My kid got me sick......"

and my all time favorite:

"Just waiting on a signature from the Judge."

Heck, the only time we ever got the guy served is when I took matters into my own hands and physically DROVE her process server, myself, to serve my wife's ex-husband for not paying medical bills.(I have a video of it!) I had to take off from work and drive across town just to do this, 'cos I got tired of Donnica telling my wife for MONTHS that she "couldn't find" her ex-husband.

Donnica Blackful then took it upon herself to drop the enforcement without consulting my wife, first.

Donnica has never once given us a itemized bill - just took our money every month and even ignored us when asked for one.

We actually had to PAY OUT for the two appearances Donnica didn't show up for. Let that sink in. We had to pay court fees to my wife's ex, 'cos DONNICA backed out at the last minute, the night before the hearing, but didn't bother to notify my wife's ex, who was Pro-se. Donnica "claims" she told us we had to pay on MyCase (she didn't), told my wife she would pay it out, since it was her "mistake", but in typical Blackful fashion, backed out at the last minute, forcing us to pay, putting us in financial stress.

Last year, we didn't get summer visitation due to the ex and when we called Donnica (even though she had been ignoring our attempts at communication for months) about it, she "scheduled" a meeting on Friday. Only problem was she didn't give us a time, a place, nor did she answer our calls that day.

I was even sought out by another one of her clients who told me Donnica Blackful did the same thing to her as she did to my wife.

She's the scum of the earth and a terrible human being, who only cares about herself. The amount of mental and emotional trauma Donnica caused my wife, for hearings that were never scheduled, enforcements not filed, lies she said, losing her job or for the ongoing abuse and harassment my wife still receives from her ex, is immeasurable.

I would sell my very soul in the hopes that one day, karma will find Donnica Blackful.
