I consulted Mr. Liebling regarding an unlicensed contractor (advertised as licensed) who was hired to do work on my hardwood floors but instead damaged them and placed a lien on my house.
The first thing Mr. Liebling did after our initial meeting was to contact the unlicensed contractor in an attempt to reach an amicable resolution. When the unlicensed contractor refused to cooperate, Mr Liebling filed a lawsuit against him and his business.
Through Mr. Liebling's efforts, not only was the lien removed from my house, but a judgement was obtained against both the unlicensed contractor, and his business, for three times the amount I originally paid for the work he was hired to do.. The judge also indicated that attorney fees/costs would be awarded to me as well.
