Hired Mr. Steven Hair back in October of 2018 to represent me in a divorce case. Originally went to him due to my familiarity with him from BNI. He accepted 1k cash from me as a retainer fee. After about 1-2 mos of not hearing anything, I had to continually reach out to him to ask questions. He was the opposite of aggressive. Still to this day, his office has had no follow up with me or they would know that I've counted my 1k as a loss and have retained new representation who is now working the case as Mr. Hair should have been doing. I would not recommend Mr. Hair to anyone moving forward. Divorce proceedings are extremely time sensitive and he had absolutely no movement on my case. As far as I'm concerned, I should receive at least a partial refund.

Steve is an amazing divorce attorney. He is patient, really listens, and is extremely educated when it comes to divorces. My divorce was a challenge and at times I was very distraught. Steve was extremely calming, caring and genuine when it came to dealing with my occasion break downs with dealing with my ex. I would definitely recommend Steven Hair to anyone. He is awesome!!! He was recommended to me by a very good attorney friend of mine after I had a falling out with my 1st divorce attorney who was arrogant and would barely listen to me or hardly communicate with me about what was going on.
Unfortunately my divorce was high conflict with regard to the time share schedule of our 2 young children. There was an attempt by my former spouse to relocate the kids to another state. She was very vindictive and was constantly trying to minimize the amount of time me and the kids were together. I was so stressed out and anxious. I couldn’t sleep and the kids were unhappy. After interviewing several other attorneys I decided to work with Steve. First he helped me through an emergent mediation to secure a temporary time share agreement which I was quite pleased with the outcome.
My divorce was truly the most difficult time of my life. My former spouse would push my buttons every chance she got. She was so unreasonable throughout the entire process, would fabricate lies, threaten me, etc. I’m so thankful I had Steve to get me through it. Steve taught me a lot of skills for dealing with her. Skills I still use today. As much as I wanted to lash back at her sometimes, Steve kept me calm. He was a voice of reason. He would always tell me, “do not respond to her craziness in kind” (some of the best advice he ever gave me).
Steve worked with me a lot to formulate a strategy. He listened to my concerns and worries. He definitely does care and would always ask how the kids were doing. He communicated with me on a regular basis and would get back to me within a reasonable amount of time whenever I needed advice. He is clearly an expert at what he does. His knowledge base and experience is vast. Although he is soft spoken he is definitely a tiger. He skillfully uncovered and debunked so many of my former spouses lies during depositions. I was definitely happy I was sitting on the same side of the table as Steve.
One month before we almost went to trial we had a final mediation that went until 4:30 in the morning but we came to an agreement and it was finally over. Even lacking sleep I swear Steve still thought of everything. It has been just over a year since we finalized and I am very happy with the outcome thanks to him. Ultimately he helped me secure equal time share and the kids are still here in Florida and it is all working out great. The kids are happy and doing really well. He always told me my co-parenting relationship with my former spouse would improve in time and he was right about that too. Win Win for the kids! Thank you Steve!!!!

I hired attorney Hair because he was born in North Carolina. He and his staff were wonderful. They were well knowledgeable with my case. I originally began my divorce case with a paralegal she was great, however the spouse I had (case with children ) continued to delay progress. Because he was violent and abusive I had to retain attorney hair to be able to really fight the upcoming divorce and Domestic violence injunction. Let me tell you when he came against a local Clearwater attorney who was inexperienced he was ready, and well knowledgeable in what the other attorney tried to bring forward regarding a legal case to have a leg up on my domestic violence case. He shut (the other attorney down with FACTS! If had to do it again, I would never marry ! Although I would again retain attorney services with Attorney hair because he was the middle person, especially his staff to prevent any peace that I received and the interaction with my abusive spouse. The fool I married as a husband cheated and while we waited for the trial to come about would send emails on my birthday and 4th of July holiday, to disrupt PEACE ! He always tried to get my , GOAT (the ex spouse). Make sure you have paid your debt have money put aside for your divorce and a good ... because it IS worth it to have a credit card for the end of case retainer fees, legal fees, any other court costs that may occur as you progress throughout your case ( (some g’s)) I was able to achieve peace throughout this difficult period of my life. TERRIBLE LAWYER. I’m not sure how he sleeps at night. I borrowed money from my Dad to pay to retain him, which he knew. He spent the $3500 in a month on bogus charges that he said he would remove. Instead of removing them, he did absolutely nothing for my case. He allowed me to be bullied by my son’s mother’s counsel, let them ask and receive my Mandatory Disclosure every 3 Months for 2 years, NEVER once requesting for their side’s Mandatory Disclosure. The other side filed a motion to compel for my Disclosure (even though it had just been given to Mr. Hair who never cared to give the documents to them). He lied about that same motion to compel that was granted for her and against me. He told me I didn’t have to go to that hearing because it was short and unnecessary for me to be there, never telling me it was for a motion to compel.
I hired him to respond to her modification of time sharing and child support. He said he could get me more time with my son. He didn’t actually file my supplemental modification until 1 or 2 years later after multiple requests. I asked him to help me with an emergency hearing for my child custody interference. When no emergency hearing was set, Mr. Hair said “I guess the Judge didn’t think it was an emergency”. My wife called the clerk who said the motion never made it to the Judge. We didn’t see the Judge until 2 months later. When the final hearing was set, he sent me a bill, and then a motion to withdraw. This man is a liar, a cheat, and the worst mistake I ever made. If he pretends to care. He only cares about your money.

Steven is very knowledgeable and takes the time to help you and he is not just looking at the clock to make $$$. He really goes the extra mile to get to know you and help you during the difficult times. I highly recommend him for divorce cases.
