I found myself in the difficult position of being sued by my bank for failure to pay back my home mortgage loan. The reason I found myself in that position was following my divorce we attempted to sell the house, but in a terrible market it didn’t sell. Out of desperation I agreed to a deed in lieu, I moved out of the house, gave the mortgage company the keys and they agreed to send me a check for some small portion of the equity I had in the house. Well, it turns out they couldn’t do the deed in lieu, seems they had some missing paperwork. So, then I tried to short sale the house, and after months of that process, they couldn’t complete that either, seems they were missing some paperwork. A few months went by and I was served papers by the bank demanding I repay the full outstanding loan balance immediately.

I called several lawyers and they said they couldn’t do anything for me. Then a few days later I was watching late night TV and an ad came on for an attorney who said he specialized in suing banks, and that’s when I met Charles Gallagher from Gallagher and Associates in St Petersburg Fl. After reviewing my case, he assured me that he could help me. But honestly, I was suspicious, because, he’s a lawyer. I slept on the idea and then told him he could handle my case because I didn’t know where else to turn.

I hired Charles R. Gallagher from Gallagher & Associates Law Firm, P.A back in 2008 and they have guided me through the years on the steps to take when finding out my new condo in Boynton Beach, FL had Chinese drywall. The entire process did take many years, however that was due to the Chinese Dry wall class action lawsuit that had to be handled first. Most people in the condo just walked away from their properties with monies owed to the bank, foreclosures and ruining their credit.
