Worst worst WORST place to seek legal help concerning custody matters. Everything I asked them to do for me, 3 things, they ensured the OPPOSITE happened and now I can’t see my son until I jump through hoops that I can’t even SEE—let alone reach! If you want to see your children and be treated fairly, don’t even think about thinking about going to Landerholm Family Law. Place is a joke.

My advice to anyone looking for an attorney is to pass this one up and keep looking. My “simple divorce with kids” cost upwards of 7,000 and took over a year to complete. Communication was horrible was told constantly they they’d get back with me next day or next week and never did, these people will bleed you dry buyer beware.

When I found Matthew my divorce was stalled out for about two years. I had finally decide to wrap it up, and consulted a few firms. After my initial meeting with Matthew I was sold that he understood my case, and more importantly was focused on pushing the matter to a swift close.
Upon awarding Matthew my trust, he immediately picked up the pieces of my messy "self service" filing. Fortunately I made that decision when I did, as my now ex was mounting a completely unsubstantiated case against me. Throughout the next couple months as her attorney did everything under the sun, Matthew was reassuring, and completely in control of the proceedings. He was able to clearly articulate to me every angle the opposition was taking and why. As well as explain to me the futility in their approach, and our counter measures. After the dust settled, and Matthew was able to enlighten the opposing counsel, on the actual letter of the law. Her attorney removed herself from the case shortly after this meeting.
Matthew was steadfast in his initial assessment and game plan of pushing this sleepy case to an ending. Given the opportunity to go back on the offensive and moved forward with court proceedings which would have incurred more expense to me. Matthew again clearly laid out my options, and was able to negotiate an extremely favorable settlement for me. Saving me tens of thousands of dollars, which would have gone to his firm, and court costs. Once he was able to reach a negotiation (with a very difficult opposing party), the process to sign and finalize was swift and complete in a matter of days.
I am very grateful to Matthew and his team for not only their attention to detail, and prompt professional representation, but also the ability to clearly lay a path to success and follow it to conclusion. I will recommend Matthew to all of my friends in any future matters involving family law.

I would do 0 stars, but it wouldn't let me. Wasted thousands of dollars for a simple divorce with children. This law firm extorts people for every last penny they can get, even when told they will not receive anymore money do to a lack of work ethic and laziness. If you are looking into getting a divorce, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I also am half tempted to reports this law firm to the bar.

Tessa & Matt Cohen are the greatest. They’ve helped me through an extraordinarily difficult divorce and done so with tremendous grace, advocating for me even when I didn’t feel able. Update : I got a call from there secretary about my review I posted. She would refund my money If I took my post down. Well here’s my answer, no way. I’m a victim of domestic violence . My family has used this law firm for over 40 years. I went in for a serious case of stalking and harassment. I paid the consultation fee $150.00. I Never heard back from them. When I called them the attorney put in his notes no call back need, no lawyer needed. They wasted my time and my money.

I had a personal injury case with them ,they convinced me from the beginning that i had very good case and they will do the best to get me the settlement i deserve,the kept my case for more than 2 year and half a years and than all the sadden they sent me a mail saying they are no longer able to take my case because the lawyer whom in charge is retiring ,I had to re started from the beginning looking for another personal injury attorney to take my case .it was such a nightmare experience i had with landerholm putting me threw a lots of stress and struggles to find a another attorney .i won't recommend any clients to use thier service.after all i found out later that the lawyer who was in charge on my case is still working at the landerholm office in vancouver .WA.
I will never use thier service anymore.it was a lesson that i learned

I am seeking legal help on a case. Many law firms just want to collect a consultation fee and be done with you, as it's ridiculously easy money. I got a consult from another attorney who at the end of the talk told me it wasn't his specialty and he was booked up.

So I came to Lander Holm Law seeking a different experience. I asked them up front before scheduling the consult if it was a case they could take, they assured me that it was, and that I indeed had a strong case. So I went forward with the consult with a lawyer named William Jones.

He said I had a case and he said he needed to check internally to ensure there were no conflicts with any of their staff. So I emailed him on March 11 and still no response from him. We called and left them a message 2 days ago with assurances they would call back within one day, no phone call.

These guys are typical lawyers just wanting to earn a quick buck and not help people one bit.

Beware.
