Maybe my complaint to the Oregon state barr will get someone in that office's attention.

When I told her that I wanted to see profiles of couples that have no children yet, she refused. She told me that she would only show me profiles of couples that have atleast one child already because she thinks it's a shame that some couples don't get to adopt a 2end or 3rd child. If you go to John Challey to place your baby for adoption, I don't recommend that you work with Nancy. Ask him to give you a different adoption counselor. John Challey held my baby in the hospital. He did a good job psychologically evaluating me to make sure that I knew what I was doing. After I signed the adoption papers he told me, "Before you leave the hospital, let me know if you want me to rip this up." From what I've heard from his secretary, he doesn't handle a lot of adoption cases anymore but would if he had to. I don't know what area of law he is practicing now.

We are very grateful for the assistance provided on a somewhat complicated/risky adoption. They were very clear with the potential pitfalls and a clear path forward. Our case was completed with no issues and we are extremely pleased with their work and guidance.
