I had originally made an error in judgement re my enquiry.. Mr. Wagner took his valuable time to explain a complex issue to me, as did the office manager. My son and I are Class Participants in the Class Action against Purdue for falsely marketing OxyContin as being less addictive than other pain medications. We are represented by Wagner Law Firm. I was previously very upset with Wagner Law Firm and Mr. Wagner for not consulting the Class Participants before settling, two years ago. Today (22 Feb 2019), Mr. Wagner gained a lot of credibility with me for taking the time to call me to provide factual background information. Apparently, Public Notice of the settlement was given but neither my son or I saw it. While I disagree with the Public Notice method (rather than direct contact via Canada Post or email), I understand that this was not solely Mr. Wagner's decision (given that other Law Firms are involved). I now understand why the decision to settle was arrived at two years ago. I continue to disagree with it, however. I would rather take the risk of receiving no compensation than have a compensation that is inadequate to enable those prescribed OxyContin, and consequently addicted, to reclaim their lives. I continue to hold hope the SK judge does not accept the settlement offer. Then, I hope that Wagner Law Firm continues to fight to ensure Purdue compensates Class Participants for lives lost, families destroyed, years stolen from what should have been the best years of their lives, to help these victims get the addiction couselling they need, overturn criminal convictions that were solely due to addiction, life skills retraining and family counselling.

After my accident I was getting nothing but a run around from my insurance company, that is if I could actually get them to answer an email or return a phone call.  I was getting so frustrated that I would just break down and cry.  My father in-law told me it was time for a lawyer. I don't know why I didn't think of it.  Oh wait I do, my insurance company told me that they would take care of me.  Lie number one, they also told me they wanted to take care of everything as quickly as possible so that my life wouldn't be that disrupted. Lie number 2. 
I did my homework to find someone who would best represent me.  I contacted Wagner law threw their live chat, thank god for live chat because I was in bed in a lot of pain and found it hard to sit and even talk on a phone. they paired me with a member of their firm right away.  I think my lawyer Lisa Wagner was sent from god himself.  I had a lot of questions and she answered every one of them for me and also advised me on a lot of things I didn't know of.  Its because of her i got into see all the right medical professionals and finally started on the road to recovery.  It was a long hard battle but Lisa helped me threw it all.  She was amazing, caring and I truly felt her compassion for me and what I was going threw.  We only met face to face a few times, due to living in different province's, every time we did it was like sitting with an old friend.

I cannot say enough about the excellent work Ray Wagner and his legal team did in relation to the class action law suit against the Nova Scotia Home for Colored Children and the Nova Scotia Government. They were very committed, caring, kind, understanding and compassionate as they listened to all the stories related to the abuses suffered by the former residents during their stay at the home. I truly felt for them as they listened to the traumatic stories we each shared as they put their class action law suit together. Don't waste your time,the one lawyer I dealt with was incredibly incompetent.In over 1 year he wrote one letter requesting a medical document,did absolutely nothing to ensure he would receive it.I personally pursued it with the hospital,weekly for a year.When he didn't receive it his "expert said there was no case without it,we had advised him it was not in the records when we dropped the file off.Finally received the document,and was forwarded to "expert" who then said we had a case.But wagners wouldn't pursue it.Not only did a medical error ruin my life and lively hood,Wagners did it too me a second time.When asked how many malpractice law suits he had handled,he said hundreds.Since only 3% of all medical errors are pursued,it seems like he has handled all the cases in Canada.
