1 star because my case is completed. So much to say...DISSATISFIED is the first thing that comes to mind. I'm glad I no longer have to deal with this firm. Not impressed with communication, follow-up, instructions...to name a few. Epic fail for customer service! Always had difficulties reaching someone without having to go through numerous extensions, regardless of how "easy" it's supposed to be. Paralegal constantly changing based on what "status" your case was in. Case should have been clear cut from the start. Should have been discussed, explained, etc. if it wasn't. 3 years of reapplying unnecessarily, appeals, lack of case representation is WAY TOO LONG for anyone!!! Not to mention change in laws during that time lost much needed back pay. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND yours, nor any other Social Security Disability law mill out of my own driving range. Too far and too removed from who your real clients are. Promises of listed lawyers attending hearings were bogus. I never met anyone from your firm, only someone who works cases for you from another firm or practice - STATES away! A matter of fact, the attorney wasn't even from my OWN state. In a firm that is supposed to be an expert for Social Security Disability cases, backed up by so many years of experience and "winning" cases - you totally miss who you are representing. You might have done this a thousand times, as a client - I only did this once.

Everybody at Hoglund made a hard situation so much easier! From the moment I called, to meeting with an attorney to figure out my options, all the way to my discharge hearing this morning, Hoglund has been with me every step of the way. They kept in constant communication, kept me informed of all the steps, and answered my questions. I can't say enough about how excellent my experience was with Hoglund. I highly recommend them if you need an attorney.

I have been with this firm working on my son’s disability case since 2016. In the beginning, the communication between the firm and I was okay. My calls were returned promptly especially when I had new information to report. I’m not sure what took place so significantly, but I am lucky enough to receive a call back after receiving many letters from the firm TELLING ME to call in, after I’ve already done so numerous times. I completely understand that this firm works with many clients, but isn’t there a priority placed with those clients like myself who have court cases coming up. My son’s disability hearing is in 2 weeks and I like to ensure the lawyers have the most updated information, but no call backs. Receptionist staff are rude and the worker in charge of my case, I can barely get ahold of her. When I call, she’s on the phone....then an hour later she’s gone for the day. I’m extremely disappointed in this firm and truly wish I would have done my research BEFORE selecting this firm to handle my child’s disability case.

HogLund lawyers were great, quick to respond and always there when I had questions. I got my disability because of them and I am already referring them to my friends and family..

Great place to get bankruptcy done! Staff are very friendly. We went through chapter 7 and it only took approximately 3 months to complete. Paperwork was of course a drag but well worth it. Price per month for payment plan is well priced too. Overall great work done on everything.

One star is too high. Nobody is ever available and then it's 1-3 business days wait for a reply, if you get one. Been a 4 year wait trying to get disability and have met with lawyer once. That was 10 minutes before we had a hearing with the judge. So many lies and misinformation from them. They've done nothing but I bet that if were to somehow get awarded disability ,we would hear from them wanting their cut.

DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM. I fall into a grey area. Because of economy, I needed more "credits" paid into SS within the last 10 years, Got awarded SSI immediately at $745 net, add that to my $15 food stamps and who can live off that?! I received an award letter from SS before I even got a check. Two months later, my lawyer sent me their office version of an award letter....TWO MONTHS LATER! Come to think of it, my lawyer NEVER once spoke to me, ever! So, you can understand my confusion, since I had to file my own SSDI appeal, I thought I won said appeal and SS contacted my lawyer on file. Nope, denied SSDI, which is at least a little more $ a month. When I requested an appeal and BEGGED for help, for an extra look; Compassion Benefits or just someone to put in some extra work. My "Case Manager", not lawyer, stated Hoglund Law WON'T do anything more, but yes they COULD do more, but why bother, that I'd probably get denied. Of course, I was reminded of how rare my cancer is, and that yes, I am definitely found to be disabled, of how much he understands of how I feel...and what really put me over the edge is that the case worker reminded me of how much time I probably had left!! Real ETHICAL Hoglund! I don't think they deserve any stars whatsoever.

I have been working on my bankruptcy case for many months now. I first met with Keith Hoglund in his little office I’m Forest Lake. I liked the feel of a small community attorney and that’s why I chose him. What I didn’t know was my case would be transferred to a HUGE office, law firm in Roseville!! I have been very dissatisfied by the lack of customer service that’s been displayed by every staff member thus far. I never knew who was the correct person for the day and this caused me tons of extra time just locating the correct person, and then would have to re-send all my information to that person!! As I would email information to one person, and get another email from someone else saying they needed the information!! And as no one knew what the other was doing so this caused me tons of rework and extra time!! Then I get a call from another new person saying I have 24 hours to complete, sign and turn I’m my paperwork as it’s ready to be filed. I freaked as I didn’t have the QDRO. SO I WAS SPECIFIC when I asked Zoya Brown (paralegal) about the QDRO as it wasn’t completed yet and told her that Keith Hoglund (bankruptcy attorney) had already told me the QDRO had to be completed prior to filing. In addition to this I told her it could be 5 or 6 more months before the QDRO would be done and I didn’t want to sign all the bankruptcy paperwork until we were ready to file. She told me the completed QDRO wasn’t necessary, and requested I sign the forms and turn them in. I did as exactly as she asked. I just received a call from Keith Hoglund (bankruptcy attorney) and when I informed him about the above information he actually scolded me! He said “I told you that you had to have the actual QDRO done, so why would you believe anyone else.” I told him I had worked with various staff persons over the last 6 months and as they represent him, I would hope that I could trust them. That’s when he reiterated that he had given me the correct information and I said I should’ve gone off what he told me!! Wow!!! Really?!? He then informed me that he could file my bankruptcy case without the completed QDRO but one of two things would happen 1.) My case would not be dismissed, meaning none of my debt would dissipate OR 2.)The funds owed to me from the QDRO would be held in a trust and used to pay off my debt, meaning I would not be one step ahead!! That’s really what I want to do!!! am soooo disappointed AND MY CASE ISNT EVEN FILED YET!!! I have paid him already so I have NO CHOICE BUT TO FINISH MY BANKRUPTCY WITH HIM!!! My advice to all is to Please research Hoglund law office prior to signing anything!!!

I have received an unfavorable decision and now I can not get the firm to return my calls I have less than 15 days to file an appeal with no help from this firm. They have dropped the ball and I believe that if they do not contact me in short order I will go to Binder and Binder.

I received excellent personal attention regarding any of my concerns that developed as the process progressed. I can't think of any challenges in our communication, as the team really does work together, and I was always contacted in sufficient time to use the advice productively. Very well organized for anyone needing all the support they can get! I can easily say that this is an office with a heart!

Very good communication fast efficient filing of disability. My husband was granted disability within 6 months after filing. My disability was denied first which is what most often happens. Hoglund walked me through the process completely. Answered any questions I had. The Toledo attorney was amazing. The whole experience of Hoglund in town and out-of-town communication was amazing. (And I was a legal secretary and understand the process) Granted disability a little over 2 years from the first filing. thank you so much for all your help!

Terrible lawyers they think that the client works for them not they work for the client. I definitely suggest a different law firm.

Unfortunately. I worked with them as a mental health practitioner some years ago. Their paralegals were lacking then not asking for my documents to support their cases. I had to call them several times to check to see if they received my records. Now, my son is using them. Poor communication impossible to get a hold of your lawyer they do not know their clients. No continuous of care poor follow up of paralegals too many people watching the pot.
My sons case was over turned due to judge using incorrect reason to deny. WhY DIDNT HIS LAWYER KNOW THIS? And now we cant get a hold of his lawyer. When I called the paralegal SHannon interrupted me so many times we resulted in a toxic conversation. Calling back receptionist laughed at me when I said we couldn't re view case with a disk we needed a hard copy , this case is 4 or 5 years old I called for his lawyer to call us back. We need consistency not a million different voices and ears talking back and forth ...now another fill in lawyer called today. I asked for another call. They have cases nationwide all over now. Just a grain of salt too many clients bad repore poor communication I'm choice was poor. I dont re commend them anymore. They need. To clean up their act

Not to good at keeping me posted

Was told it would take about a week to get my petition filed during my consultation. Here it is THREE MONTHS LATER and it’s still not filed. Was given 2-3 different attorneys, takes up to a week to get a reply back from an email. I totally regret calling them. At this pace I could have done it myself!! I’m soooooo frustrated I feel like a fool. I would not recommend them to anyone ever!

Everyone is helpful and polite and pleasant to deal with here. From being greeted on my way in to a salutation on the way out and the staff taking the time to double check everything for me, my experience was better than expected. Very professional, yet down to earth.

Very disappointed in the review process. The intake person was difficult to understand. The questions asked were extremely vague and didn’t apply to the disability. When I tried to offer more information to the questions asked, it seemed like it there was no place to add additional information in the reviewal process or at least when I offered it, he just moved on to the next question, which in turn affects their perception of the case. If you are using this company, I would strongly recommend doing it in person where someone might actually care instead of speaking to a kid in a call center who actually phones the lawyer to find out if they want to take the case.

Their ads are great, but meaningless. Communication is horrid, it can take days to get a call back. A week before the hearing a different attorney was assigned, they told me to arrive an hour early. He called a day or two before and said a half hour before was good. He arrived 5 minutes before the hearing! He was poorly prepared, unfamiliar, and I have not heard from them since. The ALJ referenced something in the decision that I was never diagnosed with. I never got the opportunity to review the file.

Would had gave a zero star if I could. Came in first time and wasted my time. So unprofessional, they scheduled me to come Friday at 4pm came 20min early while waiting 10 min they apologized and told me that the attorney not in today and they accidentally schedule me wrong. What a waste, if I knew that wouldn’t have drove all the way there no nothing. Smh!
