I consulted with Shawn Spaulding regarding various tax planning matters. My main concern was making sure that I was following IRS business requirements, but not exceeding what was necessary in quarterly estimated payments, etc.

After an hour consultation, he was able to reason through my estimated business tax liability for the following year and design a plan for moving forward.

Shawn deserves more than 5 Stars, maybe 8. One for each year he defended me and my family. I might sound like his relative, I'm not, just a regular paying client, with a Epic fight with the IRS (TY2007 to TY2014).
On complicated tax semantics issues like: 401k ROTH early withdraw, NOL carry over and then split, EIC, deadbeat SD Tax field agents,
Tax court filing, Capital Loss Carry Over... so many more and so long, I can't remember it all.

After my family and I had wasted countless months and so much money with other CPAs, IRS Registered Agents, Tax Attorneys, I met Shawn at University of San Diego where he was wrapping up his tax study. I open up my cloud drive to him. Where he access the files from his office.

I went from (wrongly) owning thousand in tax to receiving my (correctly) $40K+ in refund.

To be fair, most people get into tax problem because they are some what of a borderline deadbeat, such as I. Although this is the case I have all my docs thoroughly complete and my arguments was sound.

In any case is you have tax issues with the IRS give him a call first, I will buy you a beer if Shawn can't do it faster and for less money.

Nice to find a lawyer who came to our home to review our old trust. We didnt have to go to an office and be sent home with a list of "need to find's". He explainded everything in simple terms.
