A nasty woman with little class defending a narcisstic husband who hits and steals from wife and child. She costs so much and will throw tantrums in court. This is what is wrong with the system and so many women in Rockwall Texas.

I went through an unexpected divorce. When I tried to hire an attorney to represent me, I soon learned that my ex-husband had paid consultation fees to various, reputable attorneys in the north east Texas area which "conflicted them out" of representing me. I drove all the way to Rockwall (I live about an hour away but grew up in Rockwall) when someone recommended Kim to me. I had previously had a terrible attorney represent me during the temporary child custody hearing and had a bad experience. That guy didn't know anything about my case and essentially just showed up in court and rambled until the judge asked him to stop talking. Despite all of these circumstances, Kim was eager and willing to take me on as a client. She took the time to sit and hear me out- everything I had to say, all my concerns and all the newly formed hopes and aspirations I had for my child going forward with divorced parents. She worked around the clock, diligently and turned my case around. She is very resourceful and was able to call in child custody experts and psychologists who quickly saw through all the tactics my ex husband and his attorney were using to make me out to be an unfit mother. Things looked hopeless to me, but she continued to sort through it all and rise above the very difficult circumstances. I was amazed at how well Kim navigated the waters through what was a very, very difficult process for me. Now 3 years later, I can still call her when things come up regarding my ex husband and I co-parenting and she is quick to offer sound advice. Most impressively, she was able to turn my case around by consistently taking the high road, and doing the right thing. Every time. Despite her being met by an attorney and my ex husband who were very slick and deceitful- she represented myself and my son with class, and I think that goes a long way. It is easy in child custody cases to get caught up in lies and stories. But Kim stuck to the facts and kept us focused on what was best for my son. Which is all that REALLY matters in a child custody case. I look back on that difficult time in my life and am not sure that I could have come out as well I did with any attorney but Kim Timpa. I can't recommend her experience, expertise and professionalism enough to you if you find yourself in a difficult divorce/child-custody case needing reliable, superior representation.

Katherine and Heather were excellent about helping me through this in a very tough time for me. This process can be an emotional roller coaster. It will pass. It does take time. I too at times was getting impatient and wanted it over but it does not work exactly like this. Some things are out of the firms hands. Court dates, dealing with opposing counsel especially when the opposing counsel client is not wanting to compromise. Compromise does help. Still painful but helps get closer to getting the whole process over. Timpa did their best to accommodate me through my own personal challenges. That meant a lot. All cases are different and the more at stake the more complicated it can be. Have to weigh options out and try and work with the other party. My experience with the law firm and the individuals I dealt with they all worked as a team most importantly during the whole process and were very professional. I wanted to give a very special thanks to the team at the office for they really do try and make sure you get taken care of. Katherine and Heather and Kim all very helpful. It was tough but it is now over with and about as best as could be expected.

No matter how this came out I don't speak for others behalf but I want my Ex to be to be able to go on with her life and hopefully have a Great life without me and wish her the best even though it did not work out for us. I spent many years with her and if I am not the one for whatever reason I want her to have a good life and wish her only the best. Did not want this to turn out this way. No reason to hold on to the bitterness.

We have to remember that at one time we cared about that person and people must go on and not be bitter. It is hard enough as it is. Lawyers have a job to do too and divorce is not something anyone wants. Be patient and you will get through this. That is easier said than done. Timpa did about as good of a job representing myself as they could. I would recommend them to anyone. What is important is that you work with the Lawyers to help your case instead of depending solely on them. You know more than they do about your own situation. The more you share with them the easier it is for them to cut down on the time it takes to come to a conclusion to present your case. There is no magic wand to make a divorce come out perfect. There are most the time losers in both sides in one way or the other. Katherine did a Great job and Heather did as well and as well there both following up. This is very important.

What I wanted to say in regards to Katherine Metcalf, Heather Dickens, Kim Timpa, Tiffany Nord, Julie Timpa Fecht and the rest of staff is that they were very responsive when called upon to my needs as an attorney and staff as a team representing my case they all covered for each other when someone was out of office and they were all there for me when someone was out of office and made sure messages were forwarded and calls back and responds by email were taken care of.

I see people put out negative comments about lawyers which sometimes maybe rightfully deserve but, apparently you've never had a bad divorce attorney. I have before unfortunately. Believe me they are not even close. They don't follow up and your one in a pile and they are as bad as they get.
Most the time it's negative is they didn't get what they wanted but that's because of the laws are what they are as well as the cost. Nobody wants to spend money. Depending on your case that is dictated by the complexity of your case and how cooperative on delivering what is being asked for to help get the case at point to settle.

Probably the worst attorney ever. We contacted her after learning our son was being abused by his father. She happily took our $5,000 retainer. After that, it sometimes took weeks for her to respond to repeated emails and phone calls, which she happily charged us each time we tried to contact her. 7 months into our case and she still had done absolutely nothing to help us resolve this matter. After she had taken most of our money, we decided it was time for us to cut our losses and hire a new attorney.
