The Tinsley Law Firm assisted my brothers and sister after the loss of our mother. Her original will had been misplaced and the court would not accept a copy. Steven Tinsley tried to file some additional paperwork with the signature of witnesses to verify the validity of the will, but in the interim we found the original. After that Mr. Tinsley filed the original will and everything went quickly and smoothly. He even gave us a break on the cost of his time to file the unused extra paperwork for the will copy. Mr. Tinsley and his office staff were pleasant and easy to work with.

I will write a Fair review. Steve is legit, he knows his trade. But he's obsolete. Very outdated and tech. impaired. Slobby appearance at best. His rates are high and he doesn't look like big money. Quite the contrary. Now, having said that, he may be the best man for the job. He morphed into a Sith Lord. He proved he can be a lion in the courtroom. He taught me a lot. Our consultation was valuable. But I chose to go with more current/tech savvy representation.

A few years ago I had Mr. Tinsley write wills out a for my parents. In July of this year my parents house burned, total loss. In the fire my Father died, so mother decided to move to Michigan with me. We had to try and sell the burnt property before we left Dallas since she was in her 90's and probably would not make the trip back, not to mention I have a full time job in MI. I had a meeting with Mr. Tinsley, and after reviewing the will that he compiled, he told me that probate would definitely need to happen before we sold the house. Tinsley told me that he would gladly file the probate paperwork for $2700 and Mildred, this very frail 90 year old with dementia would need to come back to Dallas, from Michigan for a 5 minute appearance in court. I could not believe that Texas Law would put an 90 year old through all of this after loosing her husband of 70 years and her house. So I checked around and a title company looked over the will and stated that the way the will was written, everything being left to her, being common property, that she could just sign an affidavit here in Michigan, have it notarized, and send it back. Guess what, Did not cost her $2700, she did not have to drive back to dallas for a 5 miniute court appearance and she sold her house with the help of the title compay. Don't use this man!!!!
Did not care about the heath of this woman, or the fact that the whole thing could have been cleared up with an affidavit, he says he has 35 years experience in this field, shouldn't he know this???????
By the way I gave him a star because it will not allow you to post with 0 stars.

I had a very good experience with the Tinsley Law Firm when they handled some probate and estate matters for me. I mostly worked with Jacob Higgins and he was patient and thorough through the process, and provided very complete and clear answers via email and by phone. I was never surprised by any fees, and what I paid seemed competitive and reasonable. I've never hired an attorney before, so I don't have any other experiences to compare it to, but I will hire them again if and when I need some advice or some work done in the Dallas area.
