My firefighter husband and I hired Lisa Berg to assist him with his alimony case. We trusted Lisa because her husband was also a firefighter, but we made a terrible mistake. After paying Lisa almost $8000 dollars, we found out that she had been billing for things that she did not actually do. We lost our cohabitation case, which we should have won because the ex wife was cohabiting and there was a non-cohabitation clause in the divorce settlement. We had to hire a new attorney, Matt Palmer to help us reverse the damages, including court sanctions and arrears related to the alimony case. Bottom line is we lost a significant amount of money because she was negligent. This was a "meat and potatoes" case. It should not have cost more than 10,000, which we were prepared to pay. In the firefighter community, we are family, and she totally took advantage of us with no remorse.
