Deceptive and Racist toward minorities.

John Read was recommended by someone I knew for a DWI case. He took complete advantage of me. He charged me $7500 for a simple first time DWI (never had ANY other charges). He then told me the incorrect court date so I MISSED my court date. He never called me to let me know of the mistake. This could have resulted in a warrant for my arrest. He never filed for discovery. When I fired him as my attorney and asked for my money back he said by the end of the month he would get it to me and paid me half. March 9th is when I dismissed him, march 14th he gave me half my money,and today MARCH 30th he is not responding. This man is a liar, a crook, an alcoholic, and an incompetent attorney. DO NOT make the same mistake I did by hiring him. He asked me if there were drugs in my system or just alcohol. I told him only alcohol. He then proceeded to tell me I needed to be honest with him and that he used to by girls cocaine because girls like cocaine. Unprofessional, inappropriate, crook. DO NOT HIRE HIM. I have since hired Gene Beaty and he in one week filed for discovery, confirmed my court date, went over all possibilities with me, AND only charged me $2500.
