It actually amazed me how serious this man takes his job, I was never able to hire him as my attorney, he was actually court appointed because I was incarcerated with a felony charge that carries 2-10 years in prison but there were some truths that we're definitely going to help me out if I had to go to trial but after being incarcerated for 60 days days i was just so ready to get out, so on my 53rd day in jail i went to court and they offered me 4 years felony probation and I was ready to sign but Ted refused to give me the pen.. He told me to give him 7 more days and to just trust him but I tried to tell him that I had my own personal rights and that i wanted to get out right then and there because my birthday was in 8 more days and by handing me the pen which would seal the deal on my case so that the courts will pay him for appointing me but he still refused to give me the pen or the papers and just assured me to be patient and to trust him.. And It was shocking to me because there are so many lawyers in Dallas county jail but maybe 10 out of every 200 actually fight as hard as they can for the inmates, others just let them rot and forget about the client because the pay for inmates is not very astonishing.. But man oh my do I respect Ted's work ethic.. I trusted him and when I came back in 7 days he told me that my charges had been dismissed!! I thank God for sending me this exact lawyer because he is the true definition of an attorney and if you ever have been to Dallas county jail, or even if you magically end up there one day I guarantee that when inmates name their top 5 attorneys you always hear Mr. shoemaker mentioned because everybody knows Ted.. He always kept me informed about my court dates and other inmates that I was housed with were jealous because of how often he would come and visit just to inform me about all types if tips and information that he needed and also changes in the case such as getting me in court sooner than I was supposed too a few times but always had me in and out of court.. Every person that rates him will definitely give a 5* unless they have never personally been a client of his.. I used to think the system was crooked until he took control of the situation! Some people do what they Can and Other people do what they Want, I can only imagine how serious he will take a real customer that actually invests their trust in him!!
