I can't begin to express how grateful I am to Corrin at Schwartz and Storey! I was at my wits end last year trying to get my special needs child what she needed and kept hitting obstacle after obstacle with the school. Corrin was able to help us press the reset button with the school and get them to provide her with the supports that she truly needed to be successful. She is growing leaps and bounds now that she has the things she needs.
Corrin was such a pleasure to work with. She is such a warm and caring person and made the process as painless as possible. I will forever be grateful to her and Swartz and Storey for everything they have done for my daughter and our family. If you even think you might need an attorney for your child, don't hesitate to call for a consultation. I almost didn't call in the beginning because I felt like our issues might not be enough to retain an attorney. Schools have a way of making us parents feel crazy or like we are making a big deal out of nothing. Trust your intuition and call. You will be glad you did!

Seth Schwartz is our son's warrior. We didn't know how to advocate for our son but Seth taught us what we needed to know, showed us where the resources were and how to access them.
The school district had no idea what to do with our autistic son who had been failed miserably at public school and we were in crisis with the school, the principal and the district. With his outstanding knowledge, in a matter of only a few phone calls we had won private placement of our choosing for our son. Seth is a plethora of knowledge and information that is unbelieveably effective.

I am deeply thankful for the compassion, honor, and deep love for providing a voice and stand for the kids they represent!
We found a miracle and a warrior in Seth, our son found a friend who cares even when the fight is over. This truly is his passion and 5 years later, he still checks in, answers questions we might have and is always willing to run the marathon for the greater cause, that has touched his family as well.

I promise, to hire anyone else would be foolish.
You're never a dollar sign or just another case file...They take a personal interest and are 100 percent involved... This is the best thing you can do for your child, take the consultation and you won't need to look further.. Always our deepest thanks and best wishes.

I rarely (if ever) write reviews on products or services that I like but in this case I felt it would be a disservice if I didn't say anything. My wife and I engaged with Ashok Pathi at the Law Offices of Schwartz and Storey based upon a recommendation from a friend. Ashok was amazing from the very start by helping answer questions and walking us through the entire legal process from start to finish. I can't say enough great things about Ashok and would highly recommend his services if you are in need.

I was referred to Mr. Storey by a friend and now I know why she gave him such a high recommendation! He was very friendly, polite and helpful. He listened to my whole story and gave me great advice that helped us get what we needed for our son, who has a Speech IEP. I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone seeking legal advice regarding Education Law.

We were in a sensitive lawsuit with our school district and needed to get our son adequate therapeutic and academic support for his condition and Corrin Johnson with Schwartz & Storey delivered for us. She is a professional and knowledgeable attorney who clearly understood our case, our school district's inner-workings and (most importantly) our child's complicated mental health condition and needs. She managed to stay focused on the important legal pieces of our case while always keeping our son's well being at the forefront of her priorities. Corrin was also generous with her time in educating us and acting as a partner to our family throughout the process.
The partners at Schwartz & Storey were also very helpful in their support and education of our case. The team at Schwartz & Storey are a group of top notch attorneys who truly had our son's best interest at heart and a great deal of experience to help us get the results we were looking for. We are grateful to all of them.

Corrin M. Johnson was extraordinary in my son's case!!! We got a settlement with the school district, all of our demands and needs were met including educational and behavioral services my son so desperately needed.
I cannot say enough good things about Schwartz & Storey law firm and how professional Corrin Johnson was! Biggest benefit in working with Corrin was the fact that she was available, the whole process was under 5 months and the best part - she was reachable, made herself available when I had questions and we got positive results!
I highly recommend Schwartz & Storey law firm, especially Corrin Johnson, from the bottom of my heart - thank you!

I would highly recommend Schwartz & Storey. This firm is not only personable and incredibly knowledgeable, but passionate about what they do - and that is everything!

We worked with Ashok Pathi who was diligent, thorough, professional, and empathetic. He took time to answer all of our questions and emails and really invested in our situation. He got to know us beyond the facts of our case which for parents, really makes all the difference. I knew, from day one (and throughout the entire process), that I could trust Ashok and this firm.

I can't say enough good things..

Seth Schwartz is an AMAZING attorney!!! He has helped me out so many times with 2 different school districts and I am forever grateful for everything he’s done for us. I recommend him to any and everyone who tells me they need an attorney to help them fight a school district. He is incredibly knowledgeable, respectful and professional. And best of all he truly cares about the families he represents.

I had the pleasure of working for this incredible team. Truly awesome to see how passionate they are in what they do. I no longer work there anymore due to a new chapter in my life, but it was truly amazing. Coming in as my husband was about to deploy they always ensured I was always ok. Rosa is an outstanding leader. I can’t thank her enough with everything she tought me working there. They truly understand the definition of family first.

The law office and Ashok were professional and very carrying when working on our case. We felt we were a priority for them and they made us feel comfortable to ask questions and gave us the support we needed. Ashok knew his education laws and services available in the school district for our child. We highly recomment them to everyone!

My wife and I want to thank Seth for all that he has done for our family. He is an excellent attorney with a big heart and a passion for helping special needs students and their families. Our son is autistic and has had significant challenges in the public school setting. This year we were reluctantly pulled into litigation and Seth was so helpful with our situation. He always went the extra mile and skillfully navigating us through the the unfamiliar waters of special education law. We couldn't have done it without Seth and we are so thankful that we were referred to him. We highly recommend Seth to any family that is in the special education litigation process.

Sincerely,
Matt and Amy

I met Seth during difficult times for my son and was amazed by his efficiency, ability to listen, professionalism and most importantly his humanism. I got help I needed sooner than I thought. Later on I had to use their services for the second time and once again got the same attention and care. I cannot express how grateful I am for getting my son’s life improved so dramatically after receiving services at this law firm! He’s finally placed at the right school, with all the necessary services and feels truly happy to wake up every morning to go to his safe place, his school, where people actually care for him!

We had an AMAZING journey working with the Law offices of Schwartz and Storey for our son's limited conservatorship. The team was always 100% professional, but also truly genuine. I felt comfortable and at ease, never pressured. They spoke to my special needs son like a human, and never treated him with pity, (which seems to happen often with people who aren't familiar with special needs individuals). I never felt like it was about the money, but only about my family's needs. I would recommend them a thousand times over.

As an attorney, I interviewed several firms before hiring Schwartz and Storey to take our case. They are true counselors-at-law, providing excellent legal representation along with the supportive emotional component that is needed with all litigation but in particular this area of practice.

I am the father doing my best to advocate and navigate the special needs world for my son. It has always been an extremely stressful situation dealing with the school district. I've attended conferences and seminars but at the end of the day I needed to find an attorney. I worked with Seth Schwartz who put a lot of time into figuring out how to achieve the results. He was honest about what to expect and explained things so we could make good decisions about what course to take. Seth always put my son first and just kept asking questions to get information when we weren't sure how to explain everything. He was very patient with us and didn't give up when it looked like the district wasn't going to work with us. We were ultimately successful.

If you're considering hiring an attorney or need a second opinion you should speak to Mr. Schwartz or someone on their team. I feel I've gained more than a special education attorney that helped my son but also friends that I can count on and turn to for questions that come up.

I've had to fight against my son's elementary district twice and then again in middle school. Seth and Erin are both wonderful and really helped me through the process each time. They fully prepared me for everything and was there to help me through the emotional times, which is not their job. If you are looking for someone to fight with you in the trenches then this is the place to go. I highly recommend them.

The attorneys at Schwartz & Storey have been invaluable in dealing with the San Diego Unified School District and our school for my child with an IEP. Very knowledge, very helpful, and willing to go to bat for us.

I have had the opportunity to utilize the services of Schwartz and Storey with two of my clients. The intake was personal, in depth, and considerable time was spent assessing the children’s needs and creating a corresponding plan. All staff members possess exceptional knowledge of special education law, and an equal level of dedication to the field. From the moment, my clients sat down with Seth Schwartz and Matt Storey, they experienced a high level of comfort and understanding.

Seth & Matt were a huge help when we REALLY needed it! After negotiating for proper placement for our son with our school district for months, we were in crisis mode. We had a great advocate but it was time to move to legal help. With help from Seth & Matt, we prepared for Due Process with the District. Seth was supportive and enthusiastic, but also realistic in what our options and path should be. We won our "case" in just ONE meeting with the District by properly preparing and presenting the issues. It was amazing! We are still grateful for their focus, advice, and guidance. Navigating special ed services requires a good team and I'm glad Seth and Matt were on my team!

When my special needs son was not being supported by the public school district, I reached out to a school that specializes in supporting special needs children, and after explaining my situation, they suggested I contact Seth Schwartz and I'm forever thankful that we did as Seth and Ashok went above and beyond to support my child. Both were extremely detailed, reviewed every piece of evidence and data we had available (several tubs worth) and determined a course of action following our expectations of learning for our child. Both were compassionate to our issues, always available, even when I just needed to vent and did all of the heavy lifting. In the end, they negotiated a better outcome for my son, getting him placed in an appropriate setting, and provided significant guidance on our IEP, how to improve it, and how to leverage it year over year. We are forever indebted to both Seth and Ashok, having allowed my son the opportunity to get his needs met in a school setting. Cannot thank them enough.

We have worked with Schwartz and Storey Law Offices for over 3 years. We have two special needs children that have very different needs and we have always been able to work as a team to get them what they needed.
We would recommend any parents to the Offices of Schwartz and Storey if they're feeling uncertain about their rights and need guidance and/or assistance.

Our advocate and other parents strongly recommended Seth for our son, who is on the severe end of the spectrum, and he far surpassed our high expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable about the law, the unique dynamics of each school district and the offerings of non-public schools. He is also very patient and listens closely to parents; in our case, our engagement lasted several years as we explored different options. Corrin got involved later and did much of the heavy lifting. She handled each twist and turn with skill, demystified the daunting process and achieved a favorable outcome.

I love the Law Offices of Schwartz & Storey. Even before I actually hired them , I knew I could call and ask questions which I did several times. Matt was my attorney for our due process journey. I think he knew more about our history than I did as he spent hours reviewing all the paperwork he received from both the school distrist and myself. He explained the process, walked me through what was going to happen and I never felt there wasn't anything I couldn't have asked him. Matt and Seth are 2 of the greatest men I know. Their compasion and knowledge is amazing. If I ever have to go the due process route again, I would only do it with them on my side. I hightly recommend their office. Raylene Dickinson

I simply cannot recommend Do Right Law highly enough. In our family we regard Seth Schwartz and Matt Storey as "lawyers with hearts" as they both truly have their hearts in the right place doing the work they do. As one of their first clients when they opened their law firm, our case posed multi-faceted challenges. Not only did Seth and Matt guide us through the process, but they helped us to understand the law behind IEPs and the special education process. When our case actually went to hearing and further mediation, they helped guide us to a successful outcome, while always keeping our child(ren)'s lives in the driver's seat. Since then, and through our family's direct lived experiences of mental and behavioral health issues, I have begun working in the mental health field assisting families who are going through their own issues. When we need direction surrounding IEP law, I reach out to this amazing firm and they are always willing to assist by offering presentations to families, educational presentations to providers, and to just be there when a family doesn't know where to turn when their child is struggling. Thank you, Seth and Matt, and all the amazing people at Do Right Law who are there to help families and especially struggling youth in times of crisis.

I am an educational advocate, helping families at meetings to develop the IEP, determine appropriate goals, services, and placement. Although the goal is always to work collaboratively with the schools, sometimes we need a legal opinion on a situation or advice on how to handle a particular issue. Seth & Matt have a great office and have helped a few of my families sort out issues that would have dragged on longer at IEP meetings or might not have been fixed at all. They make the legal process easy on the families, explain everything, and made sure that the attorney fees were paid for by the district. I really have nothing but good things to say about them and all of the other attorneys that work there. They will spend time with you whether or not you have a case to help you understand the special education process and if they can't help they'll help you find people that might be able to help out. I highly recommend them.
