The outstanding legal firm of Kirker/Davis represented me in my divorce. Cogent to providing a better understanding of the superior quality of this team’s representation and my experience, I’m compelled to provide a brief contextual background. I was a former physician who was married for 30 years to a very successful surgeon in Austin,Texas.

It was disconcerting when my ex wife transferred and took control of all of our accounts and assets, leaving me in a very precarious financial position. Thus, without an income, nor access to our community estate, my ex wife through her attorneys attempted to squeeze me to settle for a paltry portion of our estate.

Enter Kirker/Davis and my ex wife’s intentions were abruptly halted, when I enlisted Chris Kirker and Holly Davis’s legal help. Quickly, it was clear to both my ex and her attorneys the battle field had just changed substantially, and that my team meant to win. What ensued over the next 9 months was an arduous process, which ended in an actual jury trial lasting a week.

Throughout those nine months, and especially during the week long jury trial, I witnessed the astounding synergism between these two attorney’s with differing skill sets. Chris and Holly when combined, proved repeatedly to opposing council, they were simply outmatched on numerous levels. Similarly, Chris too remained confident and cheerful throughout, and though twenty-five years my junior, grasped the very real and personal trauma I was enduring. When needed, at times, Chris would gently set me straight when I was either being wrongheaded, stubborn or doing something that would harm our case. I even recall during the trial Chris tapping me on my leg under the table when he didn’t like the body language I was displaying before the judge.

For this I am grateful, for you see, because of this team and their dedication to this client, I walked away with fifty-eight percent of my estate which included ninety one percent of our retirement account. This, I’ve been told is unprecedented in a Williamson county court, and probably in any central Texas court.

Let's face it, the divorce process is hard! I was given numerous referrals to different law firms around Austin when my ex, and I, decided we were going to get a divorce in October of 2018. Kirker Davis was the first firm I reached out to, and after speaking to the intake specialist about my situation, he paired me up with Lianna. I spoke to her on the phone (really liked her demeanor) and we met the next day!! I hired her on the spot after our in-person meeting and it was the best decision I could have ever made. She is a ferocious woman and truly works hard for her clients. She has an amazing attention to detail and her memory is unbelievable. She advises you of your legal rights in a way that is easy to follow and understand, for us non-lawyers. And when we went to mediation and court, you could see the admiration her colleagues have for her as well. 6 months after that first in-person meeting, I am officially divorced. It was a challenging process, both physically and emotionally, but it sure was nice to lay my head down each night and know I have Lianna in my corner.
