They have set up a fake court room to intimidate people into paying. They will tell you one thing and then do another. They gave us a settlement in full total, took our payment but did NOT clear the balance.

This place is a joke. The parking IS NOT well marked. In the parking lot does not designate buildings or their addresses or even where visitors parking. I then had to get a supervisor to get someone to help me after a 30 minute wait. It took them 30 minutes to help me. AND, had to pay for parking.

My area is undergoing gentrification. Taxes significantly increased and I fell behind. Called to rectify the delinquency.
Spoke with Michael Cooper. One word: Unprofessional. Confrontational, loud, and told me I needed to 'go talk to my husband' because I was a woman! Like I needed to get permission because I told him I wasn't committing to paying anything right now. Sharks! Called back to ask to speak with a supervisor and he wouldn't let me when the phone routed to him. How are they still in business?

Not a law firm. Just a really rude collection company

Tried to make a payment, after 2.5 hours of waste of my time and my attorney's time we run into a firm that cannot even maintain its computer systems and the agent advises me she has to call us back to take a payment right when we are about to process a payment because her system froze.

This is just bad business all around. Cannot even do their job to make money correctly. Agent had no extension number either. More waste of time on something even the government is speedy and efficient at these days, COLLECTING MONEY! How hard can it be.

Yikes, not sure what kind of scam these people are running up here. Recieved an invoice for $80.25 from 6 months ago. Two of the associates Letrice and Elvia hung up on me when I asked to speak to supervisor. Waited on hold for 15 minutes and still no one answered.

Crooks, please don’t pay them a dime.

If I could give a negative star, I would. After moving here, I created a hctra account with my new address and had the old state license plate on it. You'd think that any information would get sent to the address they have on file, right? Wrong! This idiotic company sent letters to the old address so they accrued fees on a different account than what was registered! Of course the new occupants threw the letters away. Then this clown show off a collections agency gets involved and does the same exact thing. I didn't know there was a balance for years. After finding out of all the secret accounts, I got told of this by hctra and told to contact them. I did and got the most unhelpful person. She told me I could fight the case, but would have to fax a letter. After asking where you can find a fax machine in 2018, I asked what needed to be in the letter, she refused to tell me. Only that I will owe big bucks and extra fees. After reading these reviews i see so many other people in the same situation. These people are human refuse! They don't even deserve the single star.

The worst customer service ever. They always said that they can't hear me when they misunderstood something and is almost always. They sound rude and annoying all the time when I call to make a payment.

Was told we owed property taxes on our current home from 1996 to 2017. The best part? We didn't buy a house until 2004. *insert frog and tea emojis*

I can't even put into words the amount of time wasted with incompetent dishonest individuals at this "firm." Wondering why HCTRA or any other government entity would contract with them...there's clearly fraudulent activity happening on the daily basis. Oh they also took my payment, but when I called back two days later for documentation on the account, they claimed I was not authorized to access the account. A nightmare, to say the least.

Man why cant you put ZERO STARS?? Words can describe how terrible and unprofessional my experience with this firm is. They harassed me for no reason, their information is not correct and they try to act like they are doing this on behalf of the county. Once I corrected them, pointing out their error they still keep calling. BS - Amazing how "Lawyers" can HARASS you but happy to take a customers money to sue someone else for the same thing. Practice what you preach and have some MORALS!!!

They contracted with a shady and questionable staffing agency that were bouncing payroll checks to the temporary workers. You have to question the firm's integrity for choosing to continue doing business with them. The moment it is questioned by the contractor you get excuses and worse end your assignment with the firm. This is not very professional for LGBS.

Keep sending mail to my address with another person's name on it. Looking into it they handle missed toll fees in Texas, which is weird seeing I live in Rhode Island lol.

I'm reposting my review. When my husband first got his letter from this company. We thought it was a hoax. After I went to the office and talk to them they all sound very nice and promising . I wasted three days collecting paperwork to prove that this wasn't our fault. After I collected all the information and brought it to them they make copies and supposed to go over it and told me to call within 7-10 days and I was supposed to get a discount since it was proven that it was dealerships fault. When I called after seven days first of all they send me to the lady and I can hear them argue over the phone that how did the other lady know that this was her case and I don't think this was the case they couldn't figure out whose case this was. The girl that Ispoken to was the same person that my husband talk to when he first call after we first received the letter. She is so rude. No customer service manners at all. To make the story short we end up paying full amount wasting my time gas and my working hours. This place is a zoo you can hear so much noise on the phone nobody knows who's responsible for what this company is a big scam I can't believe that tollway even works with this people. Company should be shut down. Honestly I don't even think it's legally operated looks like bunch of high school kids working there

I talked to a lady name Maria and she was very rude over the phone. I keep getting letters from this office and keep letting them know the person no longer lives here!

Company is running a scam. I received a letter demanding $79 for unpaid toll fees. Consider a toll fee in Texas Harris county is $1. I went on the gov't website to search my plates and found I missed 4 tolls , a total fee of $5.50 including $1.5 processing fee was required. $5.5 vs $79, what a total scam this company is running. Thank your Texas politicians for keeping them in business!

Absolutely unprofessional collectors Estella rameriz ext 7153 she tried to blow me off and not work with me on my payment options I hated trying to have a conversation with her rude self. So glad I spoke to a rep willing to help and listen and got me taken care of. Thanks Shannon love for your help.

I agree with reviews of employees/collectors rude & unprofessional! I am a collector myself & would not speak to any of our customers the way Linebarger does! They sound ghetto, from the hood to be exact, & just plan rude. Not everyone that owes you money are bad ppl, maybe just hit a rough spot in life. I was there but no one deserves to be treated or spoke to the way your ppl do. Sucks that Harris county tax assessor-collectors had to use them..

This company keeps spamming my USPS box with paper letters claiming I owe HCTRA money. But when I look at my HCTRA account online, all is good. I'm tired of getting their letters due to the mistake, however, their letters don't have an option to contact them via email; you have to call or go over there to inform them of their mistake. Of course, I don't have that kind of free time M-F 9-5 - it seems they are living in the 80's LOL. The saddest thing (for them) is they will probably never read this review.

What a bunch of crooks. They want to collect $50 from me for running a toll booth. They admit that I had on open, active, and current account with TxTag at the time. I told them I will see you in court if think you think you can collect it. They are still trying to intimidate me into paying.

The gentleman I talked to was extremely rude. I was trying to get some questions answered about a claim that was sent to a wrong address. The gentleman interupted me repeatedly and refused to answer my questions. He said if I didn't pay right now, he would mark me as refusing to pay regardless of getting my questions answered.

Complete extortion. The have a little racket with EZ tag. EZ tag claims they send you one invoice for a toll, even if you have an account, a tag, and a balance. Then when you don't respond to the invoice never sent, these slimy people will charge you 2000% penalty. The only way to contest it is to go to court, which costs you money in court fees. Do you pay them or pay the court. Then they donate big bucks to both political parties to keep their racket going. I dont know how these people sleep at night.

Nice and cute place

Illegal practices. Claimed I owe the Toll Road Authority over $1,400. When I send in documentation proving my vehicle has not been through those tolls they tell me they are "Denying My Dispute?" lol good thing I know my rights. Legal action against this firm is on its way. I will post my updates on this review as we proceed so that others are aware you don't have to take their bullying tactics. First claim to notice Validate the Debt via US Postal Service with Return Receipt.

There are Debt Collection Practices a firm of this sort must abide by. They choose not to because they are never held accountable. Until now!

Pawn of HCTRA. They intentionally don't answer the phone, or hang up when you answer.

This company IS A SCAM do not pay them! CHECK ONLINE FRAUD ALERTS! My daughter had a ticket that was settled years ago... they sent non stop letters! CALL your Secretary of State and local tv stations to report them. I'M GOING TO TRY AND CALL THE STATE BAR TEXAS too

I have called 6 times or more today trying to handle what they say is a toll violation and 3 times I got Deanna on the line and she hung up she was very rude and when 1st asked her name she put me on hold and never came back. I then called back again spoke with Bianca who was very rude and so was Daisy I mean how do you tell someone they just need to pay but you can not discuss what they are paying you for I see what this company has very bad reviews because they have very bad customer service and I don't usually do reviews but I just had to do one due to how I was treated today

HA! Nice try! Pay attention people, we live in the age of information. Never pay anything without doing research first. The impressive letterhead and phone representatives with actual human names like "Geena" will have you thinking you are dealing with a reputable law firm, Alas, you are not. In fact, you are dealing with the human equivalent for mold. You and everything you stand for is deplorable.

Pray to whatever you find holy you never have to deal with this company. They are total scum. The fact that they represent government agencies is a shining example of whats wrong with this country.

These are straight up bill collectors and they are a scam! They cull old, old, old records then send you impressive looking letters stating you owe fines and such from various states (which is not true). the citation number they used was bogus, the city was bogus and had not record of any such citation number which always start with a year (12XXXXX for 2012 etc). ALWAYS research what you are paying! These toll fines, traffic citations etc. are all public record and anyone can cull them off the internet for free! Dont fall for it!

Pretty impressive hustle they have going on. Owed $31.50 in tolls that I was unaware of, and I ended up having to pay $400 to keep from going to court. Here's to hoping you all get the worst case of the runs you've ever experienced :) Cheers!

I received a letter in the mail to come to a court hearing for a toll road violation that I have a signed agreement to pay on monthly. I called and asked to speak to the woman (Deanna Whittaker, very rude woman by the way) who prepared the agreement (The agreement was signed by both parties through docusign electronic signatures and agreements). She was out so I left a message. She didn't call me back so I called a week later and got the same thing. I called again today (almost a month later!) and she says she will call me back but doesn't ! This business is a joke.

Corruption at its worst. The epitamy of what is wrong with the marriage of corporations and politicians. Don't pay these people a dime and maybe they will disappear from the face of this planet.

I received an invoice in the mail that I paid directly through the company (FDOT) and called Linebarger...to find out why, what it was for, how it originated, etc. I got Crystal, the most nonchalant, rude, nice-nasty rep ever! She would not let me get my question out; the call was pointless, I called back in an attempt to get someone who felt like answering a question, then Crystal ends up on the phone again with a worse attitude than the first conversation. I ended up not getting any answers because she hung up on me, then when I called back to request a supervisor, she pretended to transfer me, then hung up again. I gave them one (1) star because a 1/2 doesn't exist. I hate to speculate, but the training seems to have been done in the 'hood' or someone's garage who just hired family members who couldn't work anywhere else. This place is awful.

Calling me about a issue from 2011, it's now 2015. Regarding a 91 express lane fine. I have always had an account with 91 express lanes, and in fact have money still in that account. They want me to send in tons of papers to prove it. Not my issue, it's either their issue or 91 express lanes issue for not keeping their records in track.
