I hired Ashley Butler as my divorce lawyer from August 2013- June 2014. When my ex husband broke my finger and ran off with some stripper he was in the Army at Ft. Sam I paid a 4500.00 retainer and had to make my monthly payments or I was told I would be dropped as a client. My ex husband Sgt.Michael Luna turned off our water and electricity and not at the same time both different times i had no help from Ashley all she would say is he's not suppose to do that. The mortgage payments were never paid like they were supposed to be paid during the divorce. Michael went and got his stipper gf and himself an apartment. I got charged on my itemized monthly bill for homework that I had to do and take to her office . I went through 3 paralegals i would have to explain my case with each new employee We had an Enforcement hearing(December 10 ,2013) and to my surprise the judge's orders were never entered into the court house records but you don't have to believe me everything is on record in the courthouse and in the end I fired Ashley.

I recently went through the divorce process. I worked with Tess. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was very professional, and very knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns. All of my phone calls and emails were returned in a timely manner. She kept me informed about what was happening and about what to expect during the entire process. This has been an utter disaster. Almost $6000 of retainer put towards this case, and I am still at temporary orders. NOTHING is final. Emails are charged upon receipt by the paralegal, charged when received by the attorney, then charged when responded to. That is three times for one email. I dismissed them from the case and had a $700 retainer left. I was charged to have them withdraw from the case after being told I would not. When the balance of the retainer was finally sent, it was sent to my soon to be ex-husband's address and addressed to me with my name spelled wrong. You would think for $6k, there would be better efficiency. Believe me, the only time you won't be charged is when you call the receptionist. All the rest will drain your retainer faster than you can re-fund it. They were significantly better when Art was in charge. Unfortunately, that is history.

I currently live out of state and am going through a divorce, I needed an attorney back in Texas, I found this law firm on the internet.The lady that answers and gets you all set up is wonderful,until they get your retainer that is!! I paid my retainer, they assigned me an attorney,She never returned emails,phone calls, did nothing on my case and took my full retainer when I fired her.She actually complained about why she didnt pay attention to me when I did get hold of her is because a medical issue she is going through.I would be very leary before retaining this firm!!
