I'd give him and his firm negative stars if it were possible. Mr. Beck was highly ineffective in my high conflict family law case - first, I met with him after a judge had entered an order full of "findings" absent a evidentiary hearing.....why he would not IMMEDIATELY ask for it to be vacated based on that or recommend an appellate attorney do a writ of prohibition, I've no idea. Second, he neglected to have two extremely sensitive orders entered or modified - one, he totally forgot about and the second? He sent the proposed order to the judge 4 MONTHS AFTER THE HEARING! I was also charged for his paralegal's inability to copy (yes, I was charged for pointing out what needed to be corrected.) His office manager is extremely rude (I think she's his wife or related somehow)....but the biggest thing? Advising me not to "do anything that will set my ex off" - like I can control the crazy person who's been dragging me and our kids through the legal system for the past decade. So basically, I got taken for $20K by this guy and the only reason I write this is in hopes of preventing anyone else from doing the same.

Stay away. I started with Daniel and she seemed great but left the firm. Soon after I got there. Then I was shuffled through a few lawyers and ended up with Sophia! Well if in court she says nothing, spends more time on her phone in Facebook to the point that she had no idea what is going on in the court room. My wife's lawyer is being brutal and my lawyer is giggling about things on Facebook! This ordeal cost me over $15,000 in fees and I am worse off than when I started. Plus I still owe Bill Beck $11,000. Now they quit me from what I was told they said my wife was being unreasonable. Not one lawyer fought for me, rarely spoke in the courtroom, they were visibly afraid to make an argument. Sophia even told me in court one time to just accept things it will be over quicker? They refused to tell the judge why I left her (she was cheating) and about her heavy drug use. So I loose the car, paid off house, contents, half my income (veterans disability) plus a the $15,000 I have to pay them to do this to me. STAY AWAY IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO OR HAVE SOMEONE RECOMMEND THEM TO YOUR X.

Hired Bill Beck in October of 2017 !!Burned through the 3,600 retainer fee only to be told that the other lawyer has left the practice and also need an additional refresher fee to continue. After going around and around getting no where, and speaking with the financial office manager was hoping to work things out.
Had questions some answered. Called back to touch base and left message well nobody ever called back. So sad for a child custody case.
Today is May 7th 2018 still no resolution. Very sad!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM!
Where to start? I’m an unwed father and the mother of my son was keeping him from me so I hired BBL. The first attorney was Zonald and seemed like a great attorney. He left 2 weeks after I retained BBL. I had the option to leave with Zonald or stay and I stayed. I had a domestic violence case against the mother as well. Bill Beck showed up at the first DVI hearing and nothing was accomplished. Then he hired an attorney named Jason (What a great guy) who showed up for my 2nd DVI hearing and actually made things happen and had the court show even though they weren't granting me the DVI she did commit domestic violence against me.
Then on to the paternity case. Jason was able to get an emergency hearing due to the mother withholding my son from me and I was able to get everything I asked for during that hearing. (Temporary Order). Shortly after the hearing Jason left as well and they asked if I wanted to stay or go with Jason. This time I opted to go with Jason. It’s been 3 weeks now and they still have not released all the documents to my case and still have not refunded what was left of my retainer. BBL nicpicked every last dime they could and after 15K later I still only have a temp order in place. Jason has been a life saver and is helping me get the balance of my retainer from BBL. (over 2K). I have a feeling I’m going to have to contact the Florida Bar to get the balance of my retainer back.
Needles to say, The attorneys that are hired by BBL seem to be up and up, but it seems this firm is unable to keep said attorneys at the firm. Less than 6 months and $15K I’m left with a temp time sharing order from the court, the balance of my retainer has not been returned and I’ve watched 3 different attorneys come and go.
Unless you like throwing money out the window and not knowing who your attorney will be week after week I’d advise you to STAY AWAY!

I called this law firm because the attorney, Daniel Lord, came highly recommended. She left the firm soon after I gave them my retainer and I was given the option to move with her to her new firm or stay with Bill Beck. HUGE mistake was to stay. My wife and I were amicable and our goal was save money and get the divorce done quickly. I was told my initial retainer should be more than sufficient. I would have been better off downloading forms over the web and doing this myself. Little to no solid advice on alimony. Towards the very end of the divorce process they started sending me bills and asking for more retainers that basically doubled the initial retainer fee. It seems like this is a common thread in other reviews so my advice would be to stay away and find another law firm!! After they billed me double the initial retainer and I paid them, they didn't even show up for my divorce hearing and claimed it was a "calendar error". They called the judge and asked if they could attend via telephone. The judge agreed and my divorce was finalized. When I emailed their office and asked if any of my final retainer was refundable, they just ignored my emails. I heard from another local attorney that this firm has a bad reputation. I complained to the FL Bar and also the BBB. Something I have never done before. Hard lesson learned from me but I'm hoping this honest review will lose them more money than they gained by taking advantage of me.

Yes, they are very nice & respectful however when it came to getting real results we would get double talk or excuses.

I wish I could take away the one star. When I hired this law firm I was very fluent with what I wanted them to do. Bill beck told me that my case would be easy. So I gave them a retainer that they told me would be enough to do my case. They then filled some paper work but didn't do what I hired them to do. When I talked to them they asked me if I still wanted them to do what I had asked them to do. I told them that I wasn't going to pay for their mistakes. They assured me that I wouldn't have to. But they burned threw my retainer and I was told that they needed more money. To proceed with my case. I told them that I was waiting for some money to come in And that I could give it to them when I got it. They told me that they where gonna cancel my case if I couldn't pay. I told them they could charge my card once a month for a specific amount. After they charged my card a few times they told me that it wasn't enough. And told me very rudely where's this magic money at you said you wher getting. Yes magic money ! When I got that magic money I went into their office and paid them a second retainer which they told me would be enough to finish my case. And I told them NOT to charge my card anymore. I also forgot to mention that I'm the one who had to find and serve my ex with the papers and had to get her to sign. Because they couldn't find her. Which I did very easily. So when I got a call from them they said congratulations on my case that it was done. Except for one last thing. They asked me if I wanted them to prepare the paper work to get the new birth certificates. I asked them if there was any money left from my second retainer they told me yes. So I said to use what was left and NOT to incur any more debt. I told them to call me if it was going to coast me anymore money. But they didn't and sent me a bill for $300+ dollars. And tried to charge my card again. I sent them numerous emails telling them not to charge my card. But they did. When I got all the documents from them they made some major mistakes on them. No where on any of it did it have my boys names spelled out. They only had initials and they had my boy's down as females. So none of there work can be used !!!!!
ALL FOR NOTHING !!!!

Mr Faulkner made me feel like something was going to be done that would help me extricate myself from the mess which I had managed to get myself in. I am hopeful that together we will be able to restore some peace into my life. I am sorry for my soon to be ex-wife who undoubtedly has been getting some bad advice from her friends and likely will be deported in the near future. I believe that we could have worked out our problems, but she chose the nuclear option so I was really left with no other choice but to file for divorce with Mr. Faulkners assistance. Hopefully I will return to this site with glowing praise upon the successful outcome of this action.

Everyone was extremely nice and they also followed up about appointments. I received a phone call the day before my scheduled appointment as well as a text message. This is being very through because I've called other firms I either had return a call to them and/or didn't receive a call back for several business days. Bill Beck is the boom please keep up the good work.

Quote you a fee for services and up charge you for everything! This should be clearly known before services a rendered. The clients are whom pay the bills, show them a little respect in their time of need. They are putting their trust in you to help, not to be nicholed and dimed.
Showing clients that there are addional fees, would stop a lot of money for the client and wasted time on the attorney.
I met with Mr. Beck and then was shuffeled around to several others. Meeting someone new all the time, I didn't like. I am not cattle, I wanted a personal experience. That I did not feel was accomplished.

I went in for a free consultation regarding a Family Law matter and spoke to Danielle Glenn. I presented the documents I was served and was given immediate help! Well, from my experience, the goal of this firm is to suck as much money as they can from you to use up the retainer while doing NOTHING. My ex and I came up with an initial plan, so he had very little work to do, except to tell me what I'm entitled to....and what he'll pursue.... which never happened. He's a nice man, but does not provide an overall situation assessment, and definitely does not provide any kind of a plan as to how your case will be approached, and what you're entitled to. I got completely rolled because they spent their time.... wasting mine and billing me, rather than going on a plan of defense, much less attack. It was sad, cause I got screwed as my husbands attorney was brilliant. Don't do it unless you want to throw money away or have A LOT of time to wallow through mud....and you'll probably have to pay through the nose. This is no shark, that's for sure.
