Please do not hire Ms Colon for a collaborative case. She will bully the other attorney/spouse for so-called facts that are blatant errors, and accept egregious errors in lifestyle financial calculations with little-no fact-checking. She clearly does not understand basics of lifestyle expenses, business valuation, income cashflows and assets in equitable distribution and alimony, she cost me at least $20,000 in performing multiple team mediation meetings to fight over the same topics again/again, because she and her CPA team could not grasp financial data correctly. I should know, as I have an MBA in financial analysis, and I personally called out dozens of their financial errors during the 8 months. There were so many errors in her outdated MSA agreement. I should have taken this to trial, but I was overly accommodating, only to put an end the madness, and I cannot imagine a more horrendous and exhausting collaborative divorce experience in working with this person and their team.

Fathers BEWARE!!!! Amanda is NOT on your side! We had her as a "Guardian ad-litem" but she really is only an enabler. She will "sugar coat" and give you sad faces that she is doing what is best BUT she is NOT. She will tell you: "I will try to save the family as much money as possible." This comes at a cost to YOU DAD! You WILL lose your kids in exchange of $300 PER HOUR!!! She will cut no deals even for reading a simple 3 line email from you @ $100! She isn't worth $25 an hour. Her GAL "investigation" is nothing more than taking "notes" of interviews of: kids, mom & dad and then she drafts a "filtered" report & "justifies" blatant crimes made by the parent she favors. Her GAL reports are "excess" (40+pages) with NO facts and only interviews (Hearsay & Argumentative) of immediate family... "to keep costs down"... Her reports are VERY poorly written with grammatical errors that Microsoft or a high school student can catch. Her reports are borderline late and if you're stuck with her... Our judge determined her report didn't match what our kids were experiencing, Amanda was ORDERED to do more interviews. I emailed Amanda and she stated in an email that her opinion WILL NOT CHANGE no matter who she interviews or what is said! Of course, she would look foolish if she changed her call to a judge. I knew then, to give up. GALs have too much pull but Amanda is an abuse of the system. She's not a GAL.. she's a stranger imposing her own beliefs on to your family. She has NO record favoring a dad during a custody, only recommends her BFF GALs to side with mom. DO NOT let her testify without first seeing a "report." Her reports are lacking any chronological timelines, hard to follow and NOT SWORN STATEMENTS. Fact: She doesn't report facts.... just "opinion" and statements told to her. Guys, it's cheaper to submit a sworn affidavit of pure facts. $12K later and my relation with my kids are worse than when she came into our lives. Amanda will tell you that we will be thankful for her recommendations but she is ONLY interested in $$$$$. She gives what the kids want despite brain washing, Judge Signed "Parent Alienation" filed document along with Judge reading the parent the Riot Act!. I had Magistrates that could see what the kids were going through but Amanda takes your cash, writes her "bias opinion" and drops your kids with no follow up. Amanda is the Wikipedia of "blind justice." She is BLIND and only sees $$ and advocates in MANY organizations against abused kids and spouses (female). She justifies spouses' (female) Domestic Violence arrests, parents bringing their kids inside a court room to testifiy against the other parent without permission from a judge, attorney or DCF. Then she justifies 3 "anonymous" calls to DCF that a rattled a judge because of the abuse of the DCF system by a parent against the other parent. Fathers, I was a parent that had 50/50 and now because of Amanda I haven't seen my kids since Father's Day. FACT! I was a VERY VERY involved Father, hold an active Gov't clearance, cleared DCF, Sheriff's Dept and judges scrutiny 3 times, welcomed any Social worker and Amanda to our house WHENEVER she wants. I committed no crime yet now I'm am a Disney Dad. Keep Amanda out of your family and make EVERY effort to settle! I hope this helps someone out there.
