Offered me a great veterans discount. I signed my retainer and waited months for him to get back to me. I left several voicemails as he didn’t answer my calls. Finally, he told me he had a colleague that would 100% offer me the same rate because he was busy with other cases. His colleague laughed and said he wouldn’t honor the rate and I should contact Gary. The colleague called and emailed Gary but Gary didn’t reach out to me. 2 months later I email Gary through his website. I have just received a reply to this email, today. In this reply Gary has attempted to push me off on, yet again, another colleague.

Basically, even with a retainer he will not honor his own contracts and should never act like he is going to help veterans. I received his information from my representative at the Wounded Warrior Project but I recommend that you steer clear of Gary Carpenter because you will have 8 months of running around trying to get your case started and barely hear back.

Edit: Gary has reached out to me and is assisting in getting my case started. He was apologetic and has taken it upon himself to speak with his colleague on my behalf to get the ball rolling. At this time I feel better and less stressed out. I will further edit my experience soon.

Edit: I wrapped up my case in April with another attorney recommended from Gary. The costs were double of that which Gary offered me, but I needed to get it done. My experience wasn't that great and caused more stress than needed.

He was very nice and settled my case for me.
