This review is directed toward Mr Townly, an employee of the Ivy Group.
Mr Townly did a poor job and took every opportunity to bill my sister regarding the project. At the end of the day, his ‘analysis’ was nothing more than a solicitation for him to act as a engineer/consultant moving forward on the repair of the project. He was very clearly hired to diagnose the deficiencies found at the time of the inspection to protect the homeowner(my sister) in any future litigation that may come. He clearly agreed to do so prior to his very short visit.
I would not do business with Mr Townly and I would document your specific needs with the Ivy Group prior to having them do any work.

We are very sorry that John Teller was confused and disappointed about our services. We did clarify our services to him (the results, the benefits, etc.), as we believed he was not understanding our 'consulting' services versus 'construction' services. We also offered and gave a reasonable discount. To my knowledge this is our only client who has ever complained in my 35 years of service. We believe we provided the best services we could under the circumstances.

We were greatly dissatisfied with the resolution of our problem and the high expenses for their services. Their recommendations and the work done would not have resolved the ongoing problem. Our problem was resolved by another Contractor who properly diagnosed the problem and preformed all the necessary steps to correct the problem. Based on our experience with The IVY Group, we would not recommend their services.
