He has no backbone! Do NOT expect him to fight for you! The worst waste of money! Do your research and represent yourself before you throw your dollars away hiring him! If there was a zero rating he'd deserve it.

I think I speak for the majority of us when I say that divorce is a tumultuous, extremely emotional and painful process! Especially if there are children and assets involved. You’re heartbroken and angry...so during this process, its hard to trust anyone and it can be easy to redirect your anger and impatience on the wrong person or event. Which I believe may explain most of the negative comments on here directed at Mr. Cripps. Does he sometimes take a day to return your call? Yes. Is he a man of few words? Yes. Can that be frustrating? Of course. But does he get the job done? You can bet your hard earned money on it! My husband left me on Valentines day, on Valentines Day!! I was an emotional mess, left with the mortgage and a slew of bills to pay. Not only did Mr. Cripps offer a flat rate fee but also an affordable payment plan. I retained Mr. Cripps towards the end of March and was divorced the 1st week of June! The day of my hearing I was nervous and concerned because he was running late (he was in another court room). The judge asked me who was my attorney and I tell her, she responds: “oh don't worry, I know he's around here somewhere, he'll be here”. He has such an awesome rapport with the judges that they don't even mind waiting for him! Mr. Cripps possesses almost 40 years of experience. He knows what he's doing and does it at a reasonable price. If you want a young lawyer that's going to kiss your butt and charge you twice as much, then go for it. But if you want a guy with an established good rapport and who will get the job done, then trust Mr. Cripps is that attorney. Good luck and all the best!! P.S. I completely agree with the other one star reviews. This man deserves a zero rating, because that’s exactly what he will do for you — zero. He should be disbarred. His clients pay in full only to receive the absolute worst in representation. He is a disgrace to the profession, and that’s saying something. Stay far, far away.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT select this attorney you expect him to FIGHT for your rights! If I could give a ZERO rating i would!! Obviously, Steve Cripps has too many cases and not enough memory or time to attend to each case. My daughter selected him from my Employee Assistance Program list of Family Law attorneys. The initial consultation was great and she was impressed! BEWARE, all that talk is just that TALK. He does NOthing for her or in the best interest of my 2 yr old granddaughter in the custody/visitation/divorce case. Several times, he referred to my granddaughter as "He". Each meeting to include court, Cripps always had a phone call or calls from other clients which he answered. My daughter felt stuck because she paid the retainer, made monthly payments, and out I don't even know how much before she realized he was worthless!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT select this attorney is you expect him to represent you and FIGHT for your rights!!!

Not worth a star. You might as well throw your money to the wind. And forget the months of Nov., Dec., and Jan., the office is on vacation. I wish I had did research and looked at Stevens reviews before I handed him a dollar. Sad mistake. I lost out on 17,000.00 due to his neglect. Thanks!

Same here. This Cripps Guy should be banned from LAw period. He does absoulutely nothing for his clients and like you said. He has you pay that fee up front. He hasnt made not one move on his own until you pretty much harass him to do so. I want my money back and a BAR COMPLAINT filed on this firm! THEY DO NOTHING FOR YOU
