They have worked extremely hard for my son. This is a difficult area of law with a lot of obstacles, but I’m really impressed that they have never given up. I recommend them highly.

I was sorely disappointed. Taking from my experience with this firm, I will suffice to say, they didn't walk the talk and they were not up to snuff. I went with my gut and changed attorney's to the betterment of my case. I will let that speak for itself. I would recommend not making Herman Law (nor any firm for that matter) your first choice without checking them out first, as I should have done. Time is critical in filing a lawsuit, so choose wisely. The purpose of my review is not to "trash" but, rather, to inform. I hope this serves helpful.

Stuart Mermelstein took on my son's case 6 months before the NY victim act came into place. In that time he did absolutely nothing but make empty promises. Once the Act was passed he was impossible to reach by phone or email. He retraumatized the victim by promising to write a request of settlement letter to the school my son was abused in. Week after week I explained to him that my son was having a hard time reliving that time in his life and was seeking closure through legal means. Something Mr. Mermelstein had promised to try to provide. Repeatedly Mr. Mermelstein lied to us about writing the letter and moving my son's case forward. When he finally responded he had his associate Krisel send a "letter" that could have been written by a middle school student with many wrong facts - the most negligent being that she named my son as the perpetrator of these awful acts and his abuser named as the victim. I don't think unprofessional is a strong enough word for this firm , more like malpractice. Mr Herman was kept apprised along the way and was complacent in the poor treatment we received.They wasted precious time that my son could have been using a law firm that cared. I would not recommend using this firm if you want someone who cares at all about the victim. I believe their actions would not be in line with what is expected of a member of the Florida bar association.
