I have been practicing law in South Florida for nearly 35 years and have watched interactions between attorneys deteriorate for the last several of those years. I'm well aware good lawyers charge a lot. I see the reviews indicate Mark is a good lawyer.

That doesn't make him a good person. As soon as he found out that the money I had available to pay him was small (under $10 thousand), I was literally mocked and belittled. I won't quote Mark, but it was suggested I wanted free services when in good faith I was looking for a real estate attorney.

I'm not sure if he had a bad night, but if I won the lottery I would never retain his services. I'm still in disbelief at what he said, and the abhorrent suggestion that I called to solicit him for free services because I don't have tens of thousands I can pay out of pocket.

I've only had the one conversation with him and he ensured he will never, ever get a call from me again. I'm very sure he does not care, I'd just like to warn anybody else without tens of thousands of dollars to avoid calling and having a wave of negativity wash over you. Not good for your day. Call someone else.

Mark Schecter is a really awesome lawyer. He found out during the purchase of my home that there were permits registered against the building and he negotiated with the seller for a hold back as to keep the closing on the day stated. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend Mark Schecter very highly.
