Staff are knowledgeable about food allergies, and as such the menu supports (simultaneously) vegan and GF options.

its a service that directs you at best. it is a slow process as students have about 3 months before they leave n then a month n a half later a new student comes for the same amount of time and on it goes. they r learning n really know nothing n check with supervisors.

Highly recommend going to the law centre for any inquiries, they will be able to accommodate you with knowledgable information about Canada's law and represented myself in court against a landlord who extorted us. I don't know much about law and that is why I went here in the first place

The landlord has left his comment below mine... he isn't happy because he doesn't understand that young people do have a voice and his actions and words are very manipulative, one-sided and subjective. We would have loved to phone his private number but Johnathon chose not to provide personal contact information and instead directed his tenants through his business phone number and address. Luckily he has paid but it only took 2 years, a court date and an attorney.

However, the wonderful help of the law centre and Enrique are our fellow comrades representing those in need. Thank you so much for your hard work and support.

If anyone is going through legal matters and is ever extorted by a landlord please contact them because you are not alone and they are there to help citizens and have the right to enforce debtors to pay tenants their initial deposit.

I used these services to represent me in court in a complex multi-province matter. My case took a long time to finalize, (a matter of procedure, not incompetence) so I had the opportunity to deal with many students and they were all incredibly professional, and did a great job.

My 1st meeting Kelly Firth said a letter to my landlord would only take 15 minutes - so emailed she would get back to me early next week. I don't know IF the landlord replied 42 days since that "15 minute email" & Friday I emailed Glenn Gallins director of clinical law, that NO I would not meet (again) "to discuss my expectations" unless he could explain why. My question for Kelly Firth was why she would include information about my disability in that letter to a landlord documented as using information about tenants lives against them?
Proprietorial co-dependence masquerade as public service - 3 times holding MY necessary decision making information hostage, to Their approval of my expectations. My expectations were the 15 minute email described!
*Some weeks after posting this google review I received a snail-mail, not email as had been the communication to this point, from Glenn Gallins failing to answer my question about discrimination by 1 of his law students, but emphasizing how because of my own "inflammatory language" the Law Society - now months after the fact - was now refusing to "help" me. And the Public is paying for Glenn to teach his students to do this! You answer to the Public - so we'll see you in court Glenn.

Terrible business practice and I’m sure they violated all kinds of privacy policy.

I had a court date with someone they’re representing and they called me the afternoon before the court date just before they close to negotiate a settlement. They called my work and gave my employees all the details of the litigation and told them there’s a warrant out for my arrest. Are you kidding me? They left them a message, a phone number, extension 247, and doesn’t even bother asking for my contact number. My staff forwarded their message and number only to find out that their office is closed for the day. What’s the point of even calling? I will escalate this matter.

As for the person they were representing, Stephanie Johnson, caused thousands of dollars in damage and clean up fees. Any landlord in Victoria would know the tenancy branch sides with the tenants as long as they can even prove a hair of reasonable doubt, which is a joke. Luckily they were not awarded the whole deposit back.

Update: The law students name in question that called my establishment was Enrique Montes. His response to my concern was he can call where ever he wants, talk to whoever he wants whenever he wants.

Enrique’s level of professionalism is beyond baffling. I didn’t know you had to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to disrespect other people.
