I came into Mikes office seeking some advice on how to handle a delicate financial situation. Instead of throwing a contract in front of me we talked it out and he went over my options. I walked out of his office feeling like he helped me reach a solution that was in my best interest and not just him gaining another client/case. As a lawyer and person he showed a lot of integrity.

I came to Michael for some help with a parenting plan. I should have gone with my instinct on this one after stepping foot in his "office."
It was difficult to ever get a call, email, or even text message from him. Had an appointment and showed up with no one there. None of my calls were answered. When I called the next day, his fiance said she forgot to call and reschedule me, but was busy and would call me back. Never did. I had to call again the next day. He even accused me of having his email wrong because he "never" got anything from me, when in fact he was searching for my email wrong in his inbox (did he even read them to begin with?). I also dropped off paperwork he needed about 10 days before the deadline he gave me. He called the day before the deadline in a panic saying I never got him that paperwork and we needed to go through it that evening. On such a short notice I wasn't able to meet in the next few hours... Again, clearly unorganized and I felt my case was on the back burner.
Every time I met with him it was as if I had to explain everything over again. He couldn't remember any of the details about my case. Maybe he was too busy with other cases, but could have said so and I would have not bothered him with mine.
When it came time for mediation, all of the things we discussed that I felt necessary and important for the parenting plan were pushed aside. He didn't represent me at all - or best interests for my daughter.
I felt pressured to sign the papers when he kept repeating, "Just sign them today because you'll spend thousands of more dollars to get the same thing from the courts." Which may be true, but clearly wanted my case to be done and off his plate. I was so upset. As I was about to leave he told me I had about $1,300 more to be billed to me after the mediation but he wouldn't charge me if I told everyone what a great job he did.
Don't waste your time or money. In an already emotional and stressful circumstance, this lawyer does not help make the process any easier.

Rude, unsympathetic, inconsiderate, selfish, no communication or replies whatsoever... by phone, text or emails. I was in a state of emergency, very worried and anxious; and in extreme emotional distress. I was served with papers by a sheriff and threats of account garnishment... I had no clue what to do; and for 2 weeks or maybe more, I BEGGED for a reply and help...NOTHING at all!! That is a VERY rude and inconsiderate act by a human being that is in a helping profession and who advertises to being one who helps others!

I found Mike to be not only compassionate with me during the course of my very nasty divorce from an abusive husband, but thorough, detail-oriented, ensuring all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed in case we had to go to trial. He was very supportive of my situation and made several excellent recommendations during this turbulent time in my life. I also found his office assistant to be very supportive, especially during my highly emotional episodes. From the first time I met her, she instilled in me confidence in herself and Mike. During my initial free consultation with Mike I was glad to see his credentials posted on his office walls. He told me his experiences on a board he was on in Minn supporting battered women, so I was especially glad to learn he understood the nuances of an abusive situation. I was scared to the point of hyperventilation when I first met with him. He alleviated my fears through an explanation of what he could and would do for me. I did not at all feel intimidated in his presence nor did he make me feel stupid at any time during the arduous 9 month process. He is soft spoken and empathetic, yet in the court room he had incredible presence and it was plain he is respected in court. I highly recommend him for defense if you are looking for an attorney who is honest with the utmost integrity. In fact I've already recommended him to a co-worker. His fees were very reasonable.

Mike is a super good guy. I had him handle a defaulted $100K note for me. He was super pleasant to work with, competent, and with reasonable fees. Besides the fact his fees were reasonable, he got them reimbursed for me in the final settlement, so the end result was terrific. I like Mike, and highly recommend him.

My husband and I went to see Michael to inquire about filing a joint
Chapter-7 Bankruptcy. The details of our bankruptcy were extremely
complicated. And after several, very supportive, as well as thorough, and educating conversations with Michael, he decided that it was in our best interest for me to file a Chapter-7 by myself.

Michael was a great listener, and genuinely cared about our lives, and our well being. From start to finish, he never wavered in his concern for me and my husband.
