Hughes has great communication up to the point of paying their retainer. They went to the court house one time on our behalf for a few minutes, filed a time-sensitive form a month later than they told us they would (after nagging them multiple times), and made a couple phone calls to schedule mediation. I’m not sure what cost us a thousand bucks. But it was a very expensive rat race of a process. If you are looking for honest legal work with communication (which seems like a prerequisite at $250/HR)... do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Such a disappointing way to throw away $1000. Hopefully this lesson will save other family’s hard-earned money from being wasted in the name of “legal counsel.”
