Debt consolidation didn't have any teeth. What those commercials don't tell you is that you have to cut up all your credit cards, and you MAY get the creditors to stop charging interest, but you still have to pay off your balances. Not to mention, the CEO's of those debt consolidation companies are making some really FAT salaries off your dollar, and some up to $200,000 a year--I was incensed. So I needed something stronger, and for me, bankruptcy was the only way. I set up my plan with Mr. Atwood, had it confirmed, and now I just pay a small payment every month for three years, and at the end of that time all unsecured credit will be discharged (a very large portion of it) and I can start with a clean slate. And I mean clean slate. No more living off credit, and no more buying what I don't have cash for. It's a great feeling not having to worry about due dates and over-limit fees. It's hard to describe, really, but no matter how bad the day goes I'm living debt-free, and that's a good feeling knowing the wolf won't come calling. Thomas K. Atwood made that possible, and has my top recommendation for any bankruptcy considerations.
Perhaps the best part of all, besides Mr. Atwood's dedication to his clients, is that I only had to front a small portion of the cost up front, and rest of the fees were rolled right into the payment plan. That made my choice really easy to cut the cord and get on with my life without debt, and I love it. I think you will, too. Give Thomas a call right now, he won't charge you for that.

Since my filing some two years ago, and no hard inquiries on my credit score, my credit score actually went UP by filing a chapter 13. I can't comment on anybody else's situation, but should I decide to rebuild again, I do have an ace on the side now.
