Laura Groves helped me with my post secondary support, and did a fantastic job. My paperwork was a mess from the previous court appointment a couple years prior, and she got that all fixed up, and helped me reach a very reasonable deal in my case. I will definitely be going back to their office for my next case!

Laura Groves is incompetent, refuses to communicate, refused to respond to emails (all while charging to read them), filed things without letting us know, was a NO SHOW to a SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE, but of course she urged to pay her another 8k to go to trial.. absolutely the biggest waste of 7k. We are not even one step closer to our goal but further thanks to Laura's inefficiency. DO NOT HIRE THESE THIEVES. They are a joke.

I can say without a doubt Travis pulled me from the brink of madness. I filed my own modification and called them when it started to fall apart. Travis helped me sort it and get it all back together. He must have apologized 20 times in the 3 hours for being too harsh. He didn't sugar coat anything and I didn't go to him for a shoulder to cry on. Hes been honest and upfront, a bit brutally honest (its refreshing) and incredibly helpful! Amy has stepped in a bit to help as well and they are genuinely invested in the outcome.

I had the old bait and switch from Travis. He told me in his own words I will need a skirt for this case. Told me that his wife would be there in court with me and he would be doing all the back ground work. First day of court and she wasn't there but he was.
The other party said that they would provide all transportation and he said no my client would like to meet at a halfway point. (That was not even close to true) He seemed to be owned by the other lawyer. He came in to court with a suit that looked like he slept in.
The other party had been lying about almost everything and then sent more lies to the GAL and he never tried to defend me to him. His words to me was o the GAL knows you are going to deny that. My question was well shouldn't you have tried? After all I told you I had a witness to it all. He kept telling me that I can't do that and to wear the white hat. Even though I kept saying I wasn't or haven't done anything that was said.
To top it all off, there was never any prep for the GAL meeting or the court room. Keep your money and go to someone else. If I was able to get back my 5000 dollars I would.

Laura helped me with my annulment quickly with no issues! Payment was good compared to other lawyers! Definitely would recommend.

Travis has represented two of my family members and two of my friends that are like family, all in family law cases. He may be brutally honest and I understand some people may not like that but I appreciate he's the type of lawyer that lets you know to hope for the best but prepare for the worst and doesn't go in with the "slam dunk case" attitude. He's thoughtful and thorough. I would recommend him anytime.

Okay, I spoke with Laura Groves first and her advice gave me solid ground to feel comfortable with where I was headed in my case. I was pro se and although I had some money saved up it wasn’t enough to secure representation. I requested to meet with the firm a week before a temp hearing. I met with Travis Groves, who was blunt. And when I say blunt I mean... get ready for some tough love. He gave me a straight forward , worst case scenario outlook. And after his tough love advice, I went in to my hearing pro se and was able to come out successfully. It was difficult but I don’t think I would have been able to go in as prepared as I did if I hadn’t met with Travis first. If I could have had him represent me, I would have. He and his wife both gave me sound advice, Laura was gentle and firm, and Travis was tough BUT firm. They have their own ways of going about it and I know that if I ever get into legal trouble in the future this will be the firm that I want to represent me. They know what to expect, they understand what you are going through, but they will always give you the truth no matter how difficult it may be to swallow. Thank you for your advice and I will make sure to seek this firm out for representation should the need arise (hopefully it never does)!

I have used Travis's service twice and it was the most amazing decision ever. Travis is real and will tell you what he can and cannot do for you. He answers the phone even when its after hours and he knows what he is doing. He will ask you to get things together to help your case and its expected that you will do them if you want the proper outcome. I will use him again and i refer him to everyone. Travis you're amazing and from the bottom of my heart thank you for helping me and my son when no one else would! And listening to a scared frantic mother and building her for battle. ❤

Travis Groves is a thief and the worst family law attorney in Tacoma. It would behoove of you to find someone else. Travis is not only incompetent but greedy and will only make your situation worse. The most unprofessional professional I've ever dealt with in my life.

Going through my divorce was one of the hardest things I've done. Dealing with Travis during it made it ten times worse.
