I could not be happier that I found Melissa Carter and her team. They took care of me and my family like I never imagined any lawyer could. I always felt like her top priority. She and Mary-Ellen, her paralegal, are some of the nicest, most genuine, smart, honest, caring, and outstanding people I have ever met. They paid attention to every single detail, left no stone un-turned and fought hard for me. Melissa is a master negotiator, the best of the best. I believe I would not have had as successful of an outcome without her. Thank you, Adler Giersch, for your wonderful, hard-working people!

Above and beyond
Three years ago, I got rear-ended and hit my head on the steering wheel. I suffered from a concussion and neck injuries that impacted both my personal and professional life. Richard came highly recommended by someone I trust and I will forever be thankful for his help and support.
Richard and his team consistently showed true compassion, integrity and excellence. He took the time to listen, provide advice and emotional support as well as helped me focus on my healing while he and his amazing team dealt with the entire legal process. He made sure I understood every step of the process while advising me on the best course of action for me and my family. The outcome was above and beyond my expectations. Thank you, Richard & team, for an amazing support and results.

Arthur Leritz was amazing. I didn't know there was such a thing as a honest, selfless lawyer!! My husband was hit from behind in a MVA by a driver going 40mph almost two years ago. With Arthur’s advise, we were able to settle my husband’s case for the maximum amount allowed. Thanks to his technical skill, full knowledge of the law and TBI experience; He is your best advocate to get you everything you deserve! Thank you Arthur, We couldn't have done it with out you!

My parents and I were treated like family during the whole process after my accident. We are forever grateful for the time and energy Richard and his team spent on my case. He made my whole process stress free, easy to understand and I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. I will always refer Richard to ANYONE needing legal advice, there’s really nobody better. THANK YOU!

Melissa is compassionate, dedicated, and incredibly intelligent. She actually used to work for the insurance side before switching over to fight for the little guys. Talk about an invaluable asset! She provided us with great insight and recommendations during the first several months until it we actually needed to officially retain her. That was above and beyond, and that was just the start.

Over the course of four years, Melissa and her wonderful team at Adler Giersch led us through several hurdles, including bad faith on several accounts from my insurance, and multiple separate settlements all pertaining to the same accident. She won us moneys from insurance a few different times that could've otherwise slipped through the cracks, as they were technicalities that only a skilled and experienced attorney would know to seek compensation for. And even more incredible than that was she knew she wouldn't even get an attorney fee for those settlements (i.e. medical, wages, etc.)!

Melissa and her Adler Giersch team were always readily available to us for questions and inquiries. She did a pretty great job at laying things out for us so we would know what to expect during each part of the process of the different cases and settlements. She was empathetic and compassionate to my husband and I for what we were going through physically, emotionally, and financially; Melissa is someone we trust and someone who enabled us to feel peace through that difficult time. We knew she was fighting for us when we weren't even thinking about the case(s), and that was invaluable to us during those four years. She was relentless for justice and got us fairly compensated accordingly.

Melissa Carter and Adler Giersch are very highly recommended by my husband and I. If you think you can't afford it or don't need an attorney, reach out to her anyway...just in case. You may surprised at how well that serves you. We most definitely were.

Adler Giersch did an outstanding job for me on my motor vehicle claim. Attorneys Arthur Leritz and Heather Aliulis, as well as their entire team, were wonderful to work with and the results exceeded my expectations. As a former legal secretary of 18 years, I highly recommend them. I hope I never have need of their services again, but if I do, it's the only office I'd call. Thank you, Adler Giersch!

Adler-Giersch's reputation as an ardent advocate for their clients was known to me long before I hired Arthur Leritz to represent me. After my personal experience working with Arthur, I can say--unequivocally--that I would not have received any settlement had it not been for the persistence of Arthur and Heather at Adler-Giersch.

I had never been in a car accident before being rear ended on the freeway. The other driver was cited for being 100% at fault and I (naively) believed that my own insurance company would take car of needs. I learned that that is not their priority and it became VERY clear to me that I needed a lawyer that I could trust (my #1 criteria) and had the experience to advocate --strongly--on my behalf. Let me say again, if I had not hired Arthur and the resources of Adler-Geirsch, I'm absolutely sure that I would have received NO settlement.

If you have NEVER been in a car accident before--believe me--you need an advocate.

If you HAVE BEEN in a car accident before or have injuries or conditions not related to your accident (think arthritis or age-related conditions), YOU NEED AN ADVOCATE. There is a complicated issue called "pre-existing conditions" and the insurance company of the at-fault party will do everything in its power to prove that those conditions preclude them from compensating you.

Arthur and Heather aligned with my values of honesty, integrity and kindness. My belief in their commitment to me never wavered.

I have been involved in a car accident on the highway. As I was dealing with many physical and mental difficulties due to my injuries, a friend recommended me Arthur Leritz, at Adler Giersch. The service from my legal team was precise, supportive, helpful and very professional. I would not have been able to navigate all the aspects of the post accident without the law firm. I only have gratitude to share.

I had a traffic accident as a pedestrian during my graduate school. As an international student who is studying abroad without any family, it was incredibly hard to navigate the system and at the same time recovering physically and mentally from a very traumatic event.

I was lucky to have Richard, Heather and Lauren to work on my behalf. They were willing to go through the details when I wanted to, but also proceeded the case without necessarily involving me, which was great as I want to focus on my work and recovery.

About a year after my accident, unfortunately one of my close friends had a very similar accident. Without hesitation I recommended Adler Giersch right away, and he was very satisfied with his experience as well.

No one wants to go through traumatic accident, and no money can replace pain and sufferings people from accidents. I felt Richard understands it very well, while at the same time fighting to bring me the compensation which will help me.

My wife was hit by a drunk driver January 19, 2014 as we were walking from the restaurant to our car after the Seahawks vs 49ers game (almost hit me as well). She was unconscious for 30min after hitting her head on the payment. After a number of people and even doctors assured us she "only" had a concussion and would be fine in a few weeks we realized that was not the case. The system is hard to navigate and there is no one to advocate for you but yourself. After talking to a doctor friend and some TBI groups. I kept getting the same answer for a lawyer specializing in head injuries, Adler-Giersch!

I had a consultation and was relieved to find someone that understood the injury and was able to give valuable guidance even before officially hiring Arthur Leritz. They have a caring and professional team approach towards their clients, from the first contact, Debbie (Arthur's right hand) to Arthur himself. Their experience as lawyers in the head injury community gave me insights into the options of treatments for her condition and helped me set realistic expectations when discussing treatment with her doctors.

What started out as a simple case became more complex with multiple parties involved in the claims process. I could not have done it myself but they were really good a keeping me in the loop all along the way. We ended up exceeding our expectations in resolving the claims for present and future care. We would highly recommend Adler Giersch and get some peace of mind knowing they will take good care of you and they will take care of everything else too!

My experience with Lauren Adler surpassed my expectations and provided new insights and a positive perspective of the potentials with lawyers and the legal system

Lauren's level of integrity, dedication and compassion to fairly settling my claim took the burden off my shoulders. I could focus on my full recovery without the distraction and stress of dealing with the insurance world chaos.

I am grateful to Lauren and her expert care. I highly recommend her and Adler Giersch for any legal needs.

Adler Giersch PS is a phenomenal law firm as it relates to personal injury. My wife was in a severe car accident that has and will change her life forever, and Melissa Carter and Arthur Leritz were stellar lawyers that helped guide us through this very tough period in our lives. They fought hard for us, were insightful, compassionate and most important, effective.

It is people like them that make this experience somewhat tolerable. If unlucky enough to have to endure this experience again, I would undoubtedly use them.

After my accident, one exercise that I performed in assessment of my brain injury was one in which you must instantly blurt out any words that come to mind when prompted with a verbal word or phrase. Let's try "Lawyer"; I imagine it to be true that at least some percentage of the population might expose their distrust of lawyers by blurting at least one something of negative connotation. At one time, I would have included myself, but it was about to change on February 17th, 2015 when a driver with a suspended license borrowed a car, later causing an accident by making a hasty and illegal maneuver. Just after my accident (after I had tried, without success, to square off against Progressive, American Family, and Premera and started experiencing mental decline) it is true that I scoured Avvo, Yelp, Google, and much of any other such place you might look (and thus have come back to post this review in those places), and even originally chose a most unfortunate lawyer through word of mouth -- he charmed me with his soothing introductory consultation, but he did not fit my case and I made effort to keep looking while he interestingly made me think my time was not worth the pennies I would be paying in wagons-full.
Now, having had some time to heal, if you prompted me in the same Neuropsychological exercise with "Lauren Adler?", it would encourage sure responses, such as "Friendly", "Warm", "Encouraging", "Transparent", "Honest", "Realistic", "Reassuring", "Stable", "Secure", "Fierce", "Persistent", "Accessible", "Accommodating", "Understanding", "Knowledgable", "Flexible", "Efficient", "Available", "Communicative", "Connected", "Empathetic", "Supportive". The firm's, including Lauren's, knowledge and sometimes personal experience with insurance companies reassured me that they were not only familiar with the black and white of insurance documents, policies, and paperwork… but in identifying the grey tactics those companies use to leverage false power over accident victims in order to act in their own interest. And for Lauren, leveling the playing field between insurers and victims is a mission that she advocates for with fierceness.
As well, I was especially won over by Lauren and Adler Giersch's incredible involvement in the medical and injury prevention & support community. I knew about it when I was researching, knowing that the accident had caused unique injuries (CRPS, disability); it made my choice in lawyer very important in that they had to be very medically knowledgable to understand and convey the extent of my injuries. Lauren, I later found, was actually familiar with several of my care facilities, programs, and coordinators, and it gave me instant relief.
Finally, I must say that accessibility and communication was a huge factor for me, and I am pleased to say that she was not only available at all times, herself, for my questions and concerns, but she made routine updates to let me know that she was still actively making progress on my case. This is an important part of how Lauren shows that you are working as a team, and that she is not leaving you alone in the dark, waiting for an answer. I was even offered guidance and assistance to find local support resources, as well as references and advice.
Lauren had kept me realistic, but ended up executing our goals at the maximum that we could, so I literally could not subtract a single point from her performance… though if I were at spear-tip and had to be critical of one thing, it would be as laughable as that there was a typo one time in an email she sent me. Seriously, you can stop looking around, you have the one right here.

After I broke my ankle, I was swamped with medical bills and the two parties involved were each pointing the finger at each other. After unsuccessfully trying to resolve the issue myself, I talked with Melissa. She worked with me on a regular basis (on contingency) for the almost three years that it took to complete my surgeries and treatments and file our claim. There is absolutely no way I would have been able to navigate the system without her.

She is extremely knowledgeable about personal injury claims and gave me great information at every turn. Aside from her expertise, I also really appreciated her kind nature. She was very patient and genuinely concerned about my recovery and prognosis.

I was involved in a high speed collision two years ago. When going through physical and psychological pain related to a serious accident, the last element someone wants to think about is finding a lawyer to handle the endless amount of interactions from insurance companies. Having dealt with non-responsive lawyers in the past, I was reluctant in finding someone who would take my claim seriously, or fight on my behalf. I was lucky enough that my family had dealt with Melissa and her firm in the past, and I knew that if my family thought she was excellent, I would too. No doubt, Melissa Carter and her staff at Adler Giersch handled my claim with the utmost professionalism. From the moment I started having Melissa work on my case she handled everything, and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. She fights for her clients when needed, and has the knowledge and compassion to deal with personal injury claims. No amount of compensation could take away the pain and damage that collision has caused me, however, Melissa made the nightmare more bearable. Thank you Melissa!

My daughter was a pedestrian hit by a drunk driver 3 1/2 years ago. As a mother, there is nothing more heart wrenching and traumatic to experience than when tragedy strikes your child. You seem helpless. I thank God everyday for Richard Adler and his team for the caring, knowledgeable and tenacious pursuit they had for helping my daughter. Nothing can give her back what she lost physically, but the compensation Richard and his team were able to get for her has made it possible for her to move on and provide for her future. They were thorough, patient, kind, and Richards medical knowledge guided my daughter in ways I believe no other lawyer could. You cannot go wrong having him on your team.

There honestly isn’t enough room here to say how amazing Melissa Carter and the Alder Giersch team truly are. In 2012 I was in a car accident that changed absolutely everything and I suddenly was desperate for help and guidance. The smartest thing I did was not just getting a lawyer in my case it was getting Melissa on my team! Melissa caught things my doctor did not. You can tell she truly has your back through the entire process and cares. When I was so overwhelmed and could not think, she walked me through the process of getting a resolution helping me every step of the way. I would recommend her and the firm to anyone!

My husband, son, and I were rear-ended in my Camry last Halloween (2014). I called 911 before I got out of our car and within a few days, all of us had been medically checked, with both adults suffering damage to our necks. It was clear to me even though I've never been in an accident before that it was relatively serious and I had no idea how to proceed. The other driver was a 19-year old from Oregon driving a borrowed $90,000 car... that also made me nervous that it might be hard to deal with them.

A friend recalled an accident 20 years ago (!!) and she had great things to say about Adler Giersch, so I called them. From the very first phone call (answered by a real person, with knowledge and genuine concern) through today, everyone at the firm has been great. We were assigned to Melissa Carter, who specializes in the kinds of injuries we had, and she gave me good advice from our very first conversation. She helped me immensely, even before I decided to hire her because of complications caused by an uninsured driver and the significant medical expenses I was facing for needed neck surgery (C6-C7 ACDF with Dr. Jeffrey Roh, 03/02/15, a complete success)

I never felt like she was in it for the money. Melissa called and checked on me when she knew I had significant doctor appointments and I felt genuinely cared about, which mattered to me a great deal; I've had medical procedures before but nothing with my spine, and I was really worried about permanent disability and all the ramifications of my injuries. She also always took the time to explain all the possible options, with her experience leading her to recommend a path that was likely to lead to the best outcome. When I emailed her at night or even on the weekend to provide a detail, she responded quickly... she was always "on" and immediately responded to my questions. Awesome!

Melissa and Rachael worked hard to get my settlement quickly, which meant that I got to keep a lot more of what little money there was to get. They made sure that the medical bills were sorted out and paid bills before they got any money from the involved insurance companies, meaning that nothing went to collections. She also has helped my husband, whose case is simpler and probably doesn't require representation.

I hope to never need Melissa's help again :-) but if I do, I will call Adler Giersch without hesitation.

I interviewed several personal injury law firms before selecting AdlerGiersch and I am so pleased that I did. I highly recommend AdlerGiersch to anyone with a personal injury claim. They treated me with respect, empathy and professionalism from my intake interview through the preparation and settlement of my claim. My attorney, Richard Adler, and his paralegal Mary Ellen Bolden, represented me in a manner which demonstrated their thorough understanding of both the complicated medical and legal aspects of my case. I came to understand that they were as knowledgeable of my medical condition as my medical providers. Richard Adler is nationally recognized for his expertise in head injury, which was of significant importance in my case.

AdlerGiersch prepared a detailed and irrefutable claim package to present for settlement of my claim. Richard Adler negotiated my settlement from a position of demonstrable knowledge and authority. I respect the firm's personalized approach, commitment to detail and their ability to advocate on behalf of their clients from a factual position of strength. The result was that I received a settlement which far exceeded my expectations.

I was in a car accident and had an attorney that wasn’t doing anything to help my case. I was referred to Adler Giersch and immediately, Richard Adler helped rid of my old attorney and Arthur was assigned to my case. I highly recommend Arthur Leritz as he keeps you informed every step of the way, he’s very efficient, professional, and will take his time to explain everything one by one. Debbie is also amazing! Arthur has exceeded my expectations, made me feel at ease, and has given me so much hope and if I ever, God forbid, be in another car accident and need legal advice, I will be calling Arthur. They treat you with the utmost respect and genuinely care about your needs. I am very pleased with this law firm and words can’t express again how much I appreciate Arthur and all he and his team have done for me!

Last year, a driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck my daughter’s car head-on. She had a bad cut and abrasion on her head, and an extremely bad break in her ankle. Her wrist was fractured, as well.
My husband and I were alarmed by our daughter’s description of the other driver’s behavior, making us believe he might not be a stand up kind of guy. We realized our daughter’s injuries were such that she would have a potentially bad facial scar and a lifetime of dealing with the extensive damage to her ankle. Thankfully, the other driver carried insurance, but we were concerned because he had the same insurance carrier we have. It stands to reason that the insurance company might be more concerned with protecting itself, as opposed to looking out for our daughter’s best interest. Hence, the search for a lawyer.
We consulted with three lawyers and Richard Adler seemed the obvious choice, though ultimately, it was to be my daughter’s call. I think it fair to say that she was impressed with Mr. Adler’s calm, friendly, approach. He outlined an anticipated progression of events, and a realistic potential financial outcome.
We never would have been able to navigate our way, on our own, through what can be a complicated process. We did not have the knowledge or familiarity of the insurance process to have known how to gain the maximum outcome for our daughter. Richard Adler and his staff handled it all with professionalism, and in a timely and pleasant manner. I believe they did all that was possible on her behalf. Also, it was hugely helpful and stress relieving to have Mr. Adler’s staff handling communications with the insurance companies (both car and medical), and dealing with payments to medical providers.
He and his staff had the foresight, and took the time, to give our daughter some great advice about not engaging in careless spending and considering investments instead. They also recommended she keep her financial situation private in order to avoid being asked to lend money, something that might not have occurred to us.
Hopefully, we will never require Mr. Adler’s services again, but I would not hesitate to utilize them, if needed, and I would heartily recommend him to anyone with a similar need.
