Marty, Gila, and the ACLDN board are all caring experts in the field and we trust their integrity and commitment to the network members to provide us with the help when we need it. We encourage all members to make contributions up the defense fund to help the fund to grow. Any contribution helps and we look at it as an investment in our self protection. Thanks, ACLDN!

Im not real sensitive on this issue, I have seen so much in the 27 years on the street being, on the east coast. I been involved in many, and seen many incidents we were called to protect, using courage making judgement calls in a milli second. Then after the incident, all end up with sleepless nights, some medical issues, and even disabilities from the incident protecting a life or thier own. Then the call comes from IA, or your commanders that you and the City or County are being sued. Now what. ??
Luckily Most have not lost everything because of great union Attorneys. But you go into the deeper parts of the country where the budgets are low, they can't afford the Best. To rely on a origization that is political taking shortcuts. and settling with your life and family life in thier hands is very risky.
To my brothers and sisters in blue, protect your family and yourself from tomorrow...You worked to hard to loose everything for doing your job.. Buy it now, if you do not have the money call them, and make arraignments. PLEASE don't put off, your next shift could be the day....

Their Advisory Board consists of some of the top attorneys and defensive firearm instructors from around the country.
I recommend this organization to anyone who carries a firearm and believes in the right to use lethal force for self defense. As the headline states on their home page, "Can You Survive the Legal Aftermath of Self Defense?" This organization can help you do that.
I work with several organizations that promote or protect our self defense rights and training for responsible gun owners. I am particularly proud to be a part of one of these, the ACLDN.
At the SHOT Show in Las Vegas back in January, one of the highlights for me was the gathering of all of the members of the ACLDN Board of Advisors to go over what we’ve accomplished in the past year. Here are some highlights.
The network now has over 10,500 members from literally all over the US. The legal defense fund now has over $650,000.00 in it, a considerable war chest. We added a new bail bond assistance feature, wiring up to $25,000.00 to get a member out of jail on bond, in addition to the instant delivery of cash to an affiliated attorney in your geographic area.
Particularly gratifying to me was the response the network provided to one of my students a few months ago. Our student, John, was forced to shoot an intruder to death in his home. After calling 911, John called the ACLDN. A network attorney was on the scene the same day, and even handled the press interviews on scene, keeping the reporters out of John’s and his family’s faces. The attorney guided John through the post shooting process, and as no charges were filed, even returned the unused money to the ACLDN. I had dinner with John a couple of months after the shooting and he was extremely grateful for the immediate and thorough assistance the network provided.
Highly recommended!
Education and training is the key to surviving a self-defense assault. The series of educational DVDs and Massad Ayoob’s book: Deadly Force, (included with your membership) is an excellent way to further your education regarding the legal aspects of self-defense. This alone, far outweighs the expense of joining the ACLDN. We always look forward to the monthly, online journal for continued education on self-defense.
Add to that; the financial support of the initial fee deposit paid to your attorney of choice, and the bail assistance and the prospect of additional financial assistance. If you find yourself involved in legal proceedings, resulting from a self-defense situation, the ACLDN team will be invaluable to your defense.
Who would you call if your assault happens while you are away from home? You have access to the ACLDN network of attorneys and legal experts in every state.
Anyone who has a firearm for self-defense should be a member of the ACLDN! Thank you Marty, Gila, Vincent and everyone involved.

ACLDN was the first organization to offer both the education and the protection in one package, and I think they're still the best. I recommend them to my students and readers because no one else offers the knowledgeable services they do and no one has their track record.
Having a Legal Defense Fund to back a defense that could require more than $100,000 is comforting. One need only look at the Stiffler shooting in Montana to see how important this can be. This is true even when things just get iffy, as they were in Stiffler.
