Just got off the phone with them. They want $150 for a consultation, even if the consultation is 10 minutes. Ridiculous. Was rude as heck also.

We went from what I was told was a fairly straight forward case to being advised to settle without any mention of the mandatory arbitration in Snohomish county. This was shortly after they found the other partys attorney was an ex-partner of the firms senior partner. Then they were kind enough to charge me another $225 to turn a few emails over to my new attorney.

Kind of bogus. I got a 15 minute consultation by phone. Paid the $150 fee or whatever. I emailed a few days later for a quick question and he cant answer because it was a one time consultation.great service. NOT...going elsewhere

Negotiated many many short sales for me and clients. Saved time, money, and my bacon! Sharp people.

150.00 for consultation. No itemized price sheet to show $1250.00 used in real estate purchase. His demener unpleasant.

Short sales have taken up from 50% to currently 10% of my business since the last market downturn. My distressed homeowners appreciate the value of an upfront consultation as a means of understanding options and getting back the personal control of deciding on their best direction. We appreciate weekly updates. Jessica is our hero and we recognize that it is the specific underlying lien holder and their processing policies that are always the key factor to delays that lead to client frustration.

If you're trying to save your home from foreclosure, I do NOT recommend this company. You pay an upfront fee for "services". Any attorney that asks for all the funds up front are not going to work very hard for you. They strung us along for 2 years, 2 meditations, 4 different attorneys/mediation specialists. In the end since we didn't fit in the "box" set forth by the owner of mortgage which also happened to be the servicers "attorney" who basically went through the motions and had no interest in working with us. In the end McFerrans advise was to file bankruptcy and that might save our home. During the two year period they continued to tell us we would be able to make a deal because banks don't want your home, although the owner of the mortgage wanted our home because it had plenty of equity and they are in the business of reselling foreclosed homes with equity for profit. I ended up selling my home to a private party not through a short sale as they recommended.

I am a real estate agent with a team that closes 100+ homes a year. If I have a client that needs counsel regarding a real estate matter I always refer them to McFerran, Burns and Stovall. This firm is also well known for their expertise in successfully negotiating short sales. And if that was't enough, MBS also has an outstanding title and escrow department with a hardworking, dedicated team of specialists. We use Attorney's Title and Escrow for both short sales and non-short sales. I highly recommend McFerran, Burns & Stovall as the attorney of choice for all things pertaining to real estate.

I've had McFerran's and Burns negotiate numerous short sales for me. My experience has always been positive- in all cases (thus far) deficiencies were waived by lienholders, updates have been regular and informative, and the process organized.

Do not use their Short Sale negotiating business! I cannot speak to any other aspects of this firm, but with the short sale people the communication was POOR, not responsive, difficult to get information from about the status of my case. They were very passive with regards to contacting my bank. When I finally (after multiple emails complaining) informed them I was going to terminate their services and use a different negotiator, they called up the bank and cancelled my file, causing me to start from anew.

Multiple calls & emails about this problem were ignored or not returned.

Beware this firm! They are only out for themselves!
