Was on the phone yesterday for 30 minutes before I hung up and today I am going on 40 minutes. Need to make changes to my account but because they have my incorrect email address I cannot request it via their member services account.

It can be a lengthy process. Don’t expect for the customer service reps to be very helpful although some of them are. It’s best to check online if you have an account. If not, request a pin which takes about a week or so to receive. I would say the wait is at LEAST three months.

Worst government agency ever. I have no idea why it takes 120 days to receive a cash payout on money that was rightfully mine. In other states like California and Washington it takes no less than 30 days to receive your money once you’ve left service. In the state of Oregon it can take up to 150 days to receive your money. For individuals that need the money immediately you are kind of out of luck. When asked why it takes so long, the response is that they need to audit the account. Last time I checked it does not take 120 days to audit an account for accuracy when it should be done monthly by the organization that we pay our tax dollars to.

PERS managed to lose money with a bullish 2018 market-must have a poor investment model. Called to get help with a rollover, got differing information based on who I talked to. One lady was particularly nasty; all signs point to weak leadership and mismanagement.

The staff are fine, but getting anything accomplished takes forever. The hold times are ridiculous, and getting MY money transferred has taken over three months. It's still not completed.
