Mr. Kroll, is a warm, friendly, honest, diligent attorney whose judgement and ability far surpass the norm from my personal experiences with defense attorneys. Edward's staff are also exemplary and very capable, helping me all along the way. Mr. Kroll, is a man of wisdom and integrity. The expertise he exhibited and his experience level were top notch. From day one of my pretrials I could see right away he was well respected among his peers and I knew I had picked the "right" lawyer. He kept me well informed and worked quickly on my case. He is a no nonsense kind of guy and always made sure that I knew the consequences of any particular direction I decided to go in. If I ever have to deal with the corrupted system in Washington County again, Edward Kroll will be the very first person I call.

Mr. Kroll defended a family member of mine. I knew right away that Ed's quest for the truth was admirable. He tirelessly worked for us, always keeping us realistically informed every step of the way. We successfully won our case because of Mr. Kroll's incredible wit, his knowledge of the law and his innate desire for justice. This is the man for the job.

Ed Kroll and his team of professionals at Kroll & Johnson are the best in the business here in Washington County and Portland when it comes to ALL manners of criminal defense. As a small business owner here in Hillsboro, appreciate the incredible value and service he and his team provide to clietns.

Ed, his team of professionals, and the quaility of their counsel is second-to-none, simply because of the value they offer to their clients.
He goes out of his way to ensure that his team goes ABOVE AND BEYOND the expectations of a client. They certiainly did for me, when Ralph represented me in the courtroom, and I would NEVER consider seeking another firm after working with Kroll and Johnson.
If you need a criminal defense lawer, even family law, look no further than this firm.

I hired Edward Kroll for $6,000 on the spot after interviewing 4 other lawyers. I liked Kroll’s no nonsense attitude and he was always swift with his communication. Everything he told me to expect. and everything he suggested would happen - happened. I had a great outcome with a “slam dunk” case on the DA’s side, and I attribute that to Kroll’s ability to talk to the DA early in my case to explain my situation, as well as effectively talk to the judge at my case management hearing.

A piece of advice for those of you reading this review - remember that a lawyer is limited in what they can do for you. In most cases, going to trial is not preferred for anybody. YOU need to accept responsibility for yourself - especially if you are guilty - and be proactive in your defense. Get into treatment before your asked, go to meetings, start bettering your life and good things will come your way. *Of course this message applies to those of you with drug and alcohol related crimes and is under the premise that you are guilty of them.

I hired Mr. Kroll last year for a criminal case (Misdemeanors). His expertise was limited and he liked to use his past employment (District Attorney) as a selling point for his new firm. In all reality Mr. Kroll was not as experienced as he portrayed himself to be on the defensive side of things. His only advice to me was to not have the other party subpoenaed or testify. He took $6000 total. $3000 upfront and $3000 3 weeks before trial. He didn’t communicate well and was out of the country with family for weeks at a time and would have Mr. Johnson fill in for him. The trial was reset 4 times total and dragged out months after Mr. Kroll collected his money. Everything this attorney did, I could have done myself or a public defender could have done for nowhere near the cost. At the end of it all there wasn’t even a trial and the case was dismissed. Be prepared to get ripped off by this attorney. Check Mr. Kroll and Mr. Johnson’s trial records and previous cases. Trial is not something this firm is known for. They settle with damn near every case. Just do your research before using this firm. There is no reason to hire an attorney to make a plea deal for you. Just get a public defender if you want to roll over and take the states charges. There are a lot of attorneys in the Portland area that actually have results and take care of their clients.

Edward did a very good job on my case. It was probably a very routine matter (traffic related) but he made sure I was informed every step of the way, and he was very accessible. For somsone who'd never been through this kind of thing before Edward's attention and diligence really stood out.

I hired Edward Kroll for an arrest that resulted in my first DUII. As I had never experienced a DUII arrest, I depended on him to represent me well as he stated he would. What I got was a statement from Edward to the Judge that this was my 1st and for reasons I don't understand, the DA embellished their statements greatly and I received an ugly tongue lashing from the Judge and accusations that were not true.

Nobody deserves to be treated with such disrespect and false accusations. I have lost all faith in lawyers and the Oregon Court system that allows Public Officers to act in such a manner.
